Mar. 13th, 2003 05:22 pmWe got our new dryer yesterday. The old one was about 25 years old and it was time to die. We just had a new belt put on the drum thingie, the thing that turns to toss the clothes around, only a few months ago and the belt was already slipping off again. I tried to use the dryer one night and it made this horrible SQUEEEEEAK noise, so I opened it and could see before it would normally stop that the drum was hardly turning at all. The timer hadn't been working for a couple of years anyway. So we got a new one.
I had to clean up the right side of the kitchen so they could easily get the dryer in. There were a bunch of plastic grocery bags and bar stools that would have gotten in the way. So I finally decided just to throw the bags away and then there was lots of room to move the stools over. I didn't have time to mop though (it's a really big kitchen) but oh well. I'll do it this weekend sometime.
So, now it's like I have a new toy! I've got a full laundry basket and my dad's winter blanket to wash, and DRY. Wahahahaha, I have the drying power! Somehow, that doesn't seem so great, but hey, it's a new thing in the house. ^___^
