Put The Ring on my finger
Jan. 7th, 2004 08:48 pmOver the years, many people have told me about some movie they love so much that they watch it constantly, and I never used to understand why. Like, in high school, there was, "I love The Breakfast Club so much that I watch it every day," girl. Then there were the Princess Bride and Monty Python nuts. Add to that the Disney movie girls who watched Beauty and the Beast or The Little Mermaid so much they wore out their tape. I love movies, but I never watched them and memorized them the way these people did.
That was until now.
As much as I have watched other movies as part of my late night film rotation, I don't think any movie presently can rival the amount of times I have now watched The Ring. Sorry if you're reading this and are sick of hearing about it, but it's just one of the most perfect psychological horror movies I have ever seen. It just impresses me how simple some of the concepts in it are, and yet it scared the beejeebus out of a grown woman such as myself. I love you The Ring. You too Ringu. Will you marry me? We'll get married in Utah so it's legal.
I need to go take a bath, 'cause I'm all pre-panic attacky and can't calm down. :P
