Would someone please remind me not to eat while the "American Idol" audition shows are on? I almost choked to death laughing with a piece of steak in my mouth. XD Randy and Paula have gotten even tougher this year; HURRAY. It isn't just Simon being tough with these people now.

I really, really, really, really wonder how someone gets to the point that they sing so horribly and yet think they can be a professional singer. I don't get it. Can't they hear what they sound like? Can't they compare themselves to someone who has a lucrative career in singing and hear that they sound nothing like that? How does someone become that deluded? I mean, you can either sing basically on key, or you can't. There's not a lot of inbetween. I can understand someone who has a halfway decent voice, but not spectacular, auditioning for American Idol, but how does someone who can't even sing on key get the idea that they can be the next Kelly Clarkson? I DON'T GET IT. Do their ears work differently than mine?

Simon and Randy were really funny, because they were actually bursting out laughing at some of the contestants. It made me laugh, hence the almost choking. Simon had one really good comeback that I laughed pretty hard at, where a guy did a *magic trick* during his audition where he produced a star from thin air. Simon thought it was corny, and the guy's like, "But David Copperfield is a millionaire," and Simon goes, "But this isn't 'Magician Idol,' and I'd like you to disappear." XD That was cute. Another favorite part was during one particularly bad audition, they show Randy, Paula, and Simon all looking shell-shocked, and Simon emotionlessly drops his pen, like he didn't even realize it. It was just so funny. XD

I really wonder whatever happened to Rocker Guy, Patrick Lake, from last season. I totally dug him. A google search is in order!
