What have we learned today, kiddies?
Feb. 8th, 2004 07:28 pmThings Laurel can Still Eat in Moderation and Not Upset the Gall Stones:
pizza
roast
ranch dressing
chocolate
tuna helper
probably other stuff
Things Laurel Cannot Have:
Hot dogs! @_@
I had two this morning, not really thinking that they're quite fatty, and about 3 this afternoon, had another gall stone attack. Man it was painful. I took some (more) Maalox when I realized it was happening, and I don't know if it was the Maalox or just it working itself through, but the pain only lasted about 40 minutes. Phew. I don't think I could have taken another 3 hours of that pain. It just went away and I was sooooo relieved. I really, really did not want to go back to the hospital already.
I'm not a big fan of hot dogs anyway. They're kind of just something to eat when I don't feel like putting a lot of effort into cooking.
Then my dad had one of his really bad days and couldn't get out of bed on his own, so I had to help him. These days always scare the hell out of me. Still all shaky from that. I'm really hungry, but I need some time to wind down before I can think about things like what to cook. Dad's been fed, so just have to worry about me now.
