Oh holy FUCK
Jun. 30th, 2005 11:27 pmI went over on my bandwidth limit on my site for this month. Eep. I didn't go over much, about 7% (which is... almost a gig, woah XD). I started freaking out, because I remember when this happened on my old site provider, and apparently, they're fucking thieves. I went over, I can't remember, but not very much, and they charged me $27 for it. What happens with Netlink Hosts this time?

Bandwidth is billed $2.00 for every 1 GB over your alloted limit.

Skeeter Net just becomes more and more popular every month. And for some reason, stuff on dementedstuff.com in general got majorly hit; bandwidth went up 100%. One month, it's 1.5 gigs, June, it's more than 3 gigs. I certainly don't know what happened, since I didn't release anything new this month.
But anyway, this means I will finally have to do something I didn't want to do - shut down most of my Krofft site. I really don't have time to update it anymore anyways. I will probably add more pictures in the future, but most of the sounds will have to go bye bye. Sounds suck up bandwidth, especially when you put songs up. Maybe in the future, when I have a real job and make real money, I can refurbish the site.
Oh I know what you're thinking - why don't I just tell my site provider to not allow my sites to go over the bandwidth limit? Oh yeah, that'll go over real well. It gets toward the end of the month, and suddenly, the ENTIRE DOMAIN goes down for upwards of 5 days or more. That's skeetulrich.net and dementedstuff.com. I don't think I like that idea, and neither will my visitors.
I just hope people won't be too upset, because the Krofft site was doing a steady amount of gigs of transfer every month. :( I'm just too paranoid to upgrade my package to something more expensive right now.
My monitor scared the shit out of me tonight. Out of nowhere, it just suddenly shut itself down. Green light went off, replaced by the yellow "I'm in shut-off mode" light. I couldn't get it to come back on no matter what I did, so I just rebooted and it came back on. ::Shrug:: I hope this doesn't mean it's fucking up somehow. I just bought the fucker 6 months ago.
I'm thinking of joining WireImage.com for a month so I can snag all the pics of Skeet Ulrich from June. Those fucks are expensive. But this would only cost $10. I've decided to sleep on it before I do it, because lately I've been all paranoid about spending too much money. Not sure why. They have some hotnyummy pics of him though. A couple made me go, "Why BOTHER wearing a tie if you're not going to properly comb your HAIR?" What is UP with his hair sometimes... he's one of those guys who needs a stylist fussing over him before picture-taking opportunities or something. Still hawt though.
