Anudder one!
Jan. 2nd, 2012 12:21 amOn another day of Yuletide, an author gave to me, a New Year's Resolution fiiiiic!
three girls, a guy, and a van (1904 words) by
kalisgirl
Fandom: Ten Inch Hero
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Boaz Priestly / Jen (Ten Inch Hero)
Characters: Jen (Ten Inch Hero), Boaz Priestly, Tish (Ten Inch Hero), Piper (Ten Inch Hero)
Summary: Road-tripping with the girls. Seemed like a fantastic idea at the time.
I can't believe it, I got THREE fics this year! One actual prompt fill, and two treats! (I'm still not sure which story was my actual pinch hit and which one was the treat, but it doesn't really matter; they're both great.) This one was a complete surprise today. Thanks to everyone for writing me so many nice stories. I should be defaulted on more often. ;)
Now that authors have been revealed, I'll link to my own story:
Pain and Longing (12159 words) by
Sailorhathor,
Laurel
Fandom: November Rain - Guns N' Roses (Music Video), Supernatural
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warning: Graphic Depictions Of Violence, Major Character Death
Relationships: Fictional Axl/Fictional Slash (Unrequited), Fictional Axl/Fictional Stephanie Seymour
Characters: Fictional Axl, Fictional Slash, Fictional Duff, Fictional Stephanie Seymour, Original Characters
Summary: Saul made a promise he wasn't sure he could keep. "If you find something that needs killing, I'll be your hunting partner, okay? You're my bud 'til the end. We'll figure it out together."
(A "November Rain" - Guns N' Roses (Music Video)/Supernatural Fusion)
( More about the story I wrote )
While Googling for something else, I saw a very recent music news story that Slash wants to reform Guns n' Roses. He's trying to settle his feud with Axl, and to that I say, good luck. I hope they can settle their differences, but I think it's all up to primadonna asshole Axl on that one. A prime example of fame and money changing someone. Not that Axl wasn't always a bit of a paranoid jerk, but he seemed cooler in the beginning. I'd love to see GN'R reform. They definitely were an amazing band. Slash and Duff's recent band, Velvet Revolver, is okay, but I don't think Scott Weiland's voice was well suited for hard rock music. He sounded a lot better with Stone Temple Pilots; whatever you'd call STP (alternative?), his voice went very well with it. With Velvet Revolver? Not so much. It just kind of spoils most of their songs for me. And wow, is he ever icky in their videos. :P Just, ew, put your shirt back on. I don't know if Velvet Revolver will continue without him or not, but I for one would be interested to hear how much better they could be with a singer that fits their style of music. Or, you know, just reform GN'R. :D
