Doodly doo...
Jun. 22nd, 2004 12:33 amLotsa general babbling and junk tonight. Each part of the babbling will be cut just so this post doesn't take up half your Friends page.
AOL gave me a horrible scare this weekend. They sent an email about Billing to my primary screenname, as if some sort of change had been made. I'm like, uh, huh? So I checked my latest invoice. It says my billing date is the 16th. I'm like NOOOOOO they did it again, they changed my billing date without telling me, and the money wasn't in there then!!! This happened before. About a year and a half ago, they changed my billing date to the 19th without telling me, then tried to take the money out then, when it wasn't in there. I was thinking I was safe until the 25th, my usual billing date. When that happened, a couple checks bounced because of the whole mess and I wound up having $80 total in bounced check fees. Made me so MAD. Stupid fucking AOHell. So, here they were changing the damn date again, for what reason, I have no idea. Eventually, my billing date will be the 1st and I'll have paid for a month I didn't get to use. Or my billing date will be sometime before I was born. :P Hey, maybe it'll eventually get back to being the 25th if they keep doing this! :PPPP
Anyway, I got all panicked, thinking that maybe they tried to take the money out on the 16th, when it wasn't in there until the 18th, and here I was going to have another huge mess on my hands. I called the telephone access line of my bank and luckily, aol didn't try to take it out on the 16th. Phew. They must've just decided to let me know about the change this time.
I do want to call them sometime and demand they change the billing date back to the 25th; I liked it there, don't know why the change was necessary to begin with. BUT, you can't make this demand online; it has to be on the phone. :P I hate that. I hate making business-related phone calls. I do it when I have to, but I hate it. It used to be no problem, then I got into debt, and the bill collectors started calling, and the experience made me incredibly skittish of the phone. I like talking to friends, just not anyone else.
Tonight I attended another MST3K Home Game/Rent n' Riff. (It's a chat room game, for those not familiar with it; we riff a pre-chosen movie.) We did, um, X-Men 2, hee. It was an alright movie, just a little overlong. I would have shaved about 45 minutes out of it myself. Anyway, my favorite riff came from
tvsgrady, during the scene where Bobby cools down Logan's soda pop:
Reb: Why wasn't the soda in the fridge in the first place?
Grady: Reb, Logan has the mutant power to enjoy the taste of warm soda.
The more I think about that, the funnier it gets. XD Now I want to make a Top Ten List of Lamest Mutant Powers Ever.
I also enjoyed Gil's comment, "so lasers and fire just push people around, okay." XD
I wanted to put this in for my friend Deej, for all you creative types - she runs the domain for actor Angus Macfadyen, and he also paints as well as acts. He's been sending her digital pics of some of his paintings to put up on the site. The dude's all bohemian and wants to commune with the people, so he asked that she make the art gallery "interactive" by allowing people to send in their own titles for his artwork! If that sounds really fun and cool, please go to the site and rename some paintings. I had a good time coming up with my own odd titles in the forum. He WILL be reading these titles, it's so cool!! ^_^ The net makes it possible to do so many fun things with celebs, hee.

Finally, for today anyway, I want to send public thanks out to
cleapet for helping me with the Skeet site. She offered to help, but I couldn't find a way for anyone else to help get this thing ready for the net until I realized that I could send her some of the edited screencaps and have her make thumbnails. She's already got over 40 made for me; it is turning out to be SUCH a HUGE help. I've got many, many skeetcaps, as I've mentioned before; wasn't looking forward to having to make hundreds of thumbs all by myself. But I've been plugging along. Knowing that I have that many less to make is such a relief. ^_____________^ So, big thanks!! You and Deej are getting the biggest thank yous on the site, once it goes public.
