My Weather Pixie was smart enough to use an umbrella today (as it rained most of the day), but she wore the same dress today that she had on yesterday! What a slob. Who wears a sleeveless dress when it's raining outside anyway? Dumb bunch of pixels. Must've had a hot date last night and stayed over. Is my Weather Pixie easy?! :O
Ahhh, "Last Comic Standing" is back and I didn't know it! I checked the tv book for it a few weeks ago, but it wasn't listed. I haven't missed much, so I'll forgive them. I remember Ant from last year. He almost got picked, but then didn't. So, he's back this year. He seems pretty funny so far. I just died laughing at his "routine" on the tour bus. If you didn't see it, the comics were supposed to go one by one onto a Hollywood tour bus and entertain the people who had paid to see the stars' homes. The people would then vote for who they thought was the most entertaining and informative. Ant *slaughtered* everyone, and it was obvious why. If you've paid some amount of money to tour the neighborhoods of Hollywood stars and see their homes, do you want some guy standing up there doing his mediocre comedy routine while the famous homes just go by the window? It doesn't make any sense! You're not getting what you paid for at all. Ant used this to his advantage. While the other comics got up there and did their lame routines, he actually gave the people on the tour information about the stars' homes. (And when I say lame, I mean it - I know I've only seen one episode, but none of them really impressed me yet. The one comic who got eliminated tonight had a few good jokes, but overall, eh.)
Now, here's the best part. Ant was MAKING IT ALL UP as he went along. XD XD XD And you could hardly tell! It was a scream, watching the people look out the window like, "Oooooh, that's Jennifer Aniston's old house?" and slowly figuring out that the comedian had NO idea what he was talking about, but he was so convincing. At first, I was thinking, "How does he know so much about the route the bus is taking? Did he study the maps before they went out? But he wasn't given time to do that..." Then I figured it out when Ant said that this one house belonged to Dolly Parton, and that the house next door belonged to all her hair and makeup people, and there was an underground tunnel connecting the two homes. XD XD How he ever said that with a straight face, I have no idea. I busted out laughing at that. Just watching the faces of the people on the tour bus... "Um, really? She has a whole house for her hair and makeup people? Um... okay..."
What I don't get is why these adults, who are trying to make their living as comedians, so willingly get down in the dirt and backstab each other so easily! It's the same shit from last year! Why are they all so damn worried about getting eliminated?! I mean, why are you attempting to get into that business if you don't have any confidence in your talent as a comedian? Do you think you can go on national television on a regular basis and make it with that attitude? Geezus. Seriously, if you really think you are the mack daddy of funny, then the elimination round shouldn't scare you at all. You should say bring it on, baby! I'll out-funny anybody in this house! At least that one lady said it in reaction to the in-fighting - "We're supposed to be comedians!" I mean, okay, I know these are people and they can't be funny all the time, and sometimes they're going to let shit get to them, but the conniving and the scheming to get the house to turn against one comedian and try to get them eliminated is ridiculous, and frankly, beneath them. Didn't they watch last year's show?! Those sorts of shenanigans only brought the best out of the eventual winner, and he kicked their freakin' asses! Repeatedly!
