I was right, Patrick Lake didn't make it into the top ten on "American Idol." I was surprised though, he was in the top THREE for last night! YAAAY go Patrick! America musta liked him. I hope he doesn't fade off into obscurity--he's talented and seems so nice, and I love those put-your-eye-out spiked wristbands. :D
We got cake and ice cream tonight for my birthday, and my dad's (his birthday is 2 days after mine, so we've always had this family joke that I was my mother's birthday present to my dad that year ^_^). My dad kept going, "Let's get that one," ::points to carrot cake:: and "How about that one," ::points to coconut cake::--well, I hate carrot and coconut cake. But he hates chocolate cake. I like red velvet cake the best, but I also like just plain white/vanilla cake and chocolate cake. SO we got a plain white cake with white icing. If my sister does come over soon and bring a cake like she said, I'm going to tell her to bring a cake just for my dad so he can have his coconut or whatever. :) The ice cream we got is Nutty Caramel, with pieces of Baby Ruth candy bars in it. It's nummy. ^_^
Yes, I am turning 30, and yes, I still like having a cake. I haven't quite gotten to the age of perpetual 29 yet. Either that or I'm just comfortable enough in my skin that aging still isn't a big deal. Though I don't really feel 30. I feel about 25-27. My dad's turning 72!
It seems like I had more to talk about, but it doesn't seem so. :D
