See ya, wouldn't wanna be ya, staples

sailorhathorThe current plan: To tranfer Dad to the other hospital tomorrow, then do his heart surgery on Monday. He is SO BORED. The hospital tv just won't get all the channels he likes, and I could tell he was restless as heck tonight because he called me 8 times in two hours to get me to look things up in the tv book (though I brought him his tv guide a couple days ago). I really wish there was some way to hook a vcr up to the tv in his room so I could tape his favorite channels and then bring him tapes. Or that he was in good enough condition to go home until the surgery, but I don't think that the doctors would like that idea (otherwise, they'd send him home).
My aunt flew up here from Louisiana today to be here for the surgery. It will be nice to see her again, though of course I wish it was for a nicer reason.
Went to the doctor and had the staples removed today. Ahhhh. It was very easy, didn't even have to remove my clothes and put one of those stupid gowns on. I just laid on a table, lifted my shirt to below my bra, and he took them out with some special medical staple remover. Most of them didn't hurt at all, but a few were tender because they had started to turn red (the holes around the staples, not the staples themselves). He said there was no sign of infection, that redness was normal, and since the staples were out now, everything should heal nicely. It's so much easier to move around now with those dang things gone. ^_^
I'm going to stick to some of the diet changes because I liked the fact that I was losing weight. I prefer chicken to hamburger anyway. And I was never a huge ice cream person, though I do enjoy the occasional sundae. Going to stay off the hot dogs. They're just loaded with fat and not that great anyway. But I can have regular sausage again! YAAAAAAY!! Don't have to worry about pizza anymore either; I can have an extra slice and not fret about it. Ooh, and REGULAR CAKE WITH REGULAR ICING!! Can't have a birthday without it!! ::happy dance::
I need to have a good pig out session to celebrate, heeheehee. Chicken fried steak, I've missed ye!

alvafan and mooserat for the adorable get well cards and hilarious get well comic (that Moosie drew me)! ^_^ Deej sent me two cards (one electronic and one by snail mail) featuring the Skeeter Puppy wishing I would get well so I could make more icons of his naked butt, and Moosie drew me a comic where I smoosh Senor Gall Bladder with a mallet, then have hot censored monkey sex with Skeet. ^______________^ I love the fact that I get cards with such a personal touch, that they would make people blush to look at 'em. Muhahahahahaha. >eg
