Jul. 23rd, 2004 10:08 pmWhen I was a kid and we had just moved into this house, I was five. We were a little low on money for a little while, as can be expected when a family moves into a new house. To save on money, my mom served us salisbury steaks, which can apparently be bought pretty cheaply in these family size packages. I remember being served these steaks for what seemed like every night for weeks. I really don't know how long it was, because everything seems so much longer that it really is when you're a kid; it could have been only a couple weeks. But it felt like months. "Aw, are we having salisbury steaks AGAAAAAIN?" my siblings and I whined. Eventually, there was more food money and we hardly ever had them again. But even today, when I hear the word salisbury, it's like a 'Nam flashback. Ahhhh notsalisburysteaksagain!
So, what do the hospital people give me for my first meal after I get my gall bladder removed? SALISBURY STEAK!!!!!! XD XD XD I wasn't given a choice. It was actually pretty good.
