Didn't take them long.
Dec. 20th, 2004 11:50 pmSomeone tried to break into my apartment.
Kaye came to visit me Sunday night, I was giving her a tour of the apartment, and when I went to show her my patio, I noticed that someone had tried to pry the sliding glass door off its frame. Luckily, I had both locks on so they couldn't get the door open - their efforts jammed the main lock and now it won't open. I've only been here about a month and a half, and this already! Although I do not have the money to have my alarm system monitored, the lady in the office of my complex had a good suggestion, to set the alarm anyway, because although the cops won't get the signal, the alarm will still go off. A thief would have to be pretty dumb to stick around an apartment where a loud alarm is going off. And I should know the alarm is loud, because I goofily set it off the night I moved in here. I found this thing on the floor of my bedroom, attached to the wall with an electrical cord, and went, "I wonder what this button does?" and PUSHED it. BEEEEEEEEEP! ROFL, hehehehe. It was the PANIC button. Good thing that wasn't the big red button; I would have pushed that too. X_x Anyway, it kinda freaks me out. They're going to fix the door ASAP, hopefully Tuesday. I don't even know when this happened because I haven't checked the door in weeks, but certain signs lead me to think it happened in the last week, while I was at work.
Kaye's visit was fun. We watched movies. I'll yack about them in another entry, probably tomorrow night when I'm better rested.
