Two days off!!
Jan. 2nd, 2005 01:59 amKirkland's isn't giving me any hours lately. It's not a huge surprise, since Christmas is over and Kim just hired about three new people a couple weeks before Xmas. I've got another job, I'm not as available as the college kids. Whatever, I can deal, since I do have the full-time job. It's just so NICE to have both my days off FREE. My GOD, I can actually get things DONE. I might have to make this a permanent trend.
I just joined Netflix. Holy shit this is awesome. I'm not feeling comfortable enough to commit to cable yet (gotta be at the job for a few months longer and build up a savings first), but I NEED MOVIES DAMNIT. Netflix is actually a pretty sweet deal! $17.99 a month for all the movies you can handle. They'll be mailing my first 3 choices on Monday. ::rubs hands together:: Eeeeee! GIMME GIMME GIMME. So far, my que has in it the following: the other Tomie movies; The Eye; Track Down (Sweet Skeet Meat); a Japanese movie called Suicide Club that looked entertaining, which is about all those morbid clubs people are forming in Japan to commit suicide together, and only in Japan could they make a movie about a real life tragedy situation like that and not have some huge stupid uproar; the collector's edition of Scream (Really Sweet Skeet Meat); and a few items I am super excited about - the first and second season of "Land of the Lost" on DVD and the entire "Revolutionary Girl Utena" series on DVD. OH MAMA. I have barely even tapped the anime section of Netflix. I'll be in fucking hog heaven! Every day I'll be sprinting out to the mailbox with great anticipation of what DVD's I'll be receiving next!
I am craving chocolate SO BADLY I would willingly walk to a grocery store in the middle of the night if I thought there was an open one within walking distance. Tomorrow I'll be going to the dollar store to stock up on fuckin' candy bars, man. It's so funny, because I go to this dollar store pretty much every Sunday and buy candy bars, heeheehee. Look who's coming, it's the candy bar junkie again!
What else can I do with my two days off? I'd love to get some updates done to various websites and do some writing. I think that's what I'll ding dong do! ^________________________^
