Eeeeee, so excited! I did some shopping and got a few items I will need to set up the harddrive Kaye gave me from her dad's work. I got a switcher and cables so I can hook the monitor, keyboard, and mouse up to both towers at once, and switch between them. It would take months upon months to take everything I need from this computer and move it over to the new one, so the switcher will help ease the annoyance. There are tons of programs I use here a lot that I'll have to download again. But that shouldn't take as long since I also bought a 56K modem. ::bounce bounce bounce:: I desperately want to set it all up and try it out, but it's almost bedtime. There just isn't enough time in the day for everything I want to do because of the stupid job. :P I don't waaaaaannaaaaa go to wooooork. But I have to. I wanna stay home and play with my computer. I want another day off. ::big raspberry::

Oohoohooh, once I can surf the net with my new, faster modem and bigger harddrive, I can get WinMX again! ::bouncebounceBOUNCE:: MPthreeeeeeeees! GIMME!

I wonder if the CD-Rom will be new and cool enough to read DVDs... poor ol' Abacus totally freaks out when I try to watch DVDs on it.

I also started a cleanup regime tonight because my apartment has become overrun with piles of crap that need to be put away or thrown away. Some really important papers are just lying around, and it makes it hard to find them when I need them. So I got out the file folders and started labeling and filling them. I got about half done when I realized it was 10:30 and I hadn't been online yet. Damn time, always ticking away. Once I'm done, I'll have folders for bank statements, health insurance paperwork, stuff like that, that I can file away in my filing cabinet and consult whenever I need something. The cabinet locks, too, which I really like. It was starting to make me feel really vulnerable, the idea that if someone broke in here, they'd have access to all sorts of important papers if they wanted them, just lying around on the floor. Of course, if someone broke in here, they probably would have no interest in the papers, and instead would be grabbing electronics before the alarm alerted someone to their presence, but it still makes me feel better to have the stuff locked up, once I get finished with the organization project. That's another thing I'd like to work on instead of go to work, but of course, I can't do that.

GodDAMN, it was so COLD today. The temp was in the 40's, but there was this really strong wind that made it feel like Antarctica out there. It just cut right through me. Bring on spring!

The Ring Two opens this Friday! Another reason to be excited. I'm going to go see it ASAP. I bought that collector's edition of The Ring with the bonus disc that features a short film that links the first movie with the second. It was okay, kinda cheesy in a few places, but had some really cool parts. They made a new cursed video for the sequel. I prefer the first one; it was just creepier and better all around. More mysterious. The new one just seems like a commercial for the second movie more than a cursed video. Why would Samara make a new video, anyway? The bonus disc also features a new version of the original (American) cursed video, which I also do not like as much as the first version. They added a few neat sound effects to it, but overall, there were too many new images added that just didn't do much for the overall effect. I love that they put the shot of the outside of the box back in there, though, because I always liked that shot. Either way, I am excited to see the second movie and I have high hopes it will be good, especially since I've seen both trailers and know that they used a few cool things from the second Ringu movie in this one.

I have a dilemma. My webhosting package allows 10 gigs a month in bandwidth. You wouldn't think that would be any problem, but traffic has been going up the last two months because of Skeeter Net. My Krofft site does about 2.5 gigs a month now, and Skeeter Net has done about that much the last two months, especially because of the tv movie Skeet did at the end of January. Add in the traffic for the other parts of the site and I'm getting dangerously close to 10 gigs. I'll be keeping watch over it, and if it gets too close this month, I will have to make some changes. Truth is, I'm not that interested in the Krofft site anymore. I mean, I still love the shows, and I'd like to put up more pictures, but it's so hard to find time to really work on it. I'm not that interested in adding more sounds at this point. It actually wouldn't hurt my feelings to take most of the sounds down. But people really seem to enjoy the site if they're downloading 2.5 gigs a month. I feel bad, taking that away from them. And actually, I probably need to upgrade my hosting package at some point anyway, or I'll never be able to add any new material when I do the Ringu/Ring stuff. That would give me more bandwidth. Decisions, decisions...

I visited Kirkland's on Monday to see if they got in anything new, and I bought me a red moshi puppy. ^_^ Moshis are these pillows filled with beans, kinda like bean bags, but much softer. This one is shaped like a long doggie, like a weiner dog. He's so soooooft. And he smells so good, because he lived in Kirkland's for a while. (If you've never been in Kirkland's, they sell lots of stuff that smells good to freshen up your home, so a lot of the things you can buy there wind up smelling like that for ages.) I've named him Moshi Puppy. So creative. XD I also bought these fridge magnets that were on sale that look like those old cartoons they used to show at drive-ins of popcorn boxes and hot dogs dancing... "Let's all go to the lobby, let's all go to the lobby, let's all go to the lobby, and get ourselves a snack!" I made them dance across the checkout counter when they first came in, waaaay back in November. Kirkland's also got in these *gorgeous* wrought iron crosses that almost made me wish I was Christian so I'd have an excuse to buy one. Hey, I could get one and hang it upside-down, muhahahahah. JUST KIDDING. <.private joke> I could get one and beat up Paul with it. <./private joke> Maybe I should go look at the price, that might put me off them. (Or they might be frightfully affordable, damn it. That's how everything is with Kirkland's - you either look at the price and want to faint or look and feel like you're robbing the store by buying the item.) Wait, seems like I read somewhere that crosses had a different meaning many years before Christianity came into being; I'll have to read up on that.

Time for bed. :P At least I'm sleepy, so I won't argue with myself over it and try to stay up to get shit done.
