sailorhathorI figured out what's up with the printer with a simple test. I hooked it back up to the old computer, The Abacus. It printed everything I wanted it to without trouble. The problem is that this new computer is a primadonna that turns its nose up at anything old that I hook up to it, hee. "You can't *possibly* expect me to work with that dusty old thing. Pah! ::sniff::" Oh well. I got my heart set on one of those all-in-one thingies now anyway. It'll be awesome to have a home copier again; I had one before and I used it all the time. The old one still worked, but you couldn't get toner cartridges for it anymore, so it fell victim to the great Trash-Out of 2004.
Still haven't figured out the CD recorder, though I may see if I can find a... coaxial? I think it is... cable and adaptors and hook secondary sources up through there. Maybe then it'll work in stereo.
