TWO DAYS OFF, WOOOOOOOOO!! Lately I have been hating work like gangbusters. I've been like Johnny: "I don't care." July 4th did it. It's a crazy time of year for Greyhound. Everyone wants to go somewhere. Lots of grumpy people calling up and taking the fact that they waited til the last minute out on me. Lots of dumb questions, loooong calls. People who want to know every stinkin' detail of the bus trip they're taking. I'm just now starting to get over it and not sit there like, "I wanna go hooooooome..." ::watching the clock:: "The time is running backwaaaaaarrrrrdssssss..."
And I just have to say, I find it interesting how many people call up with an EMERGENCY OH MY GOD I HAVE TO GET THERE NOW WHEN IS THE NEXT BUS GOING OUT and when you tell them, "If you buy your ticket 7 days in advance, it can be substantially discounted," suddenly they have 7 days to wait. People are cheap-asses, even when someone is dying. ^_^ "She won't die for another 7 days..."
But I have sold TONS of tickets lately. People getting in that last minute summer vacation. Woo, bonus incentives for me! ::dances::
Gonna start building my desk tonight, yes I am, woohoohoo ::does a dance for that too:: Can't wait to have my new weird looking unmatched furniture "office" all set up.
OH, I put my new "Miracles" story up on the site today, the final version. "We Were the Dead." If you like my stuff, give it a read.

Can someone lie to me and tell me that Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher" actually, at some point, becomes a worthwhile book and not a stinking pile of boring crap? It's so LONG. I must read every book he writes, it's just a thing with me, but this book... there's been maybe one or two parts that I actually thought were worthwhile, and that's 500 pages in. The characters are just so flat and in some ways, unbelievable. I don't buy all the stuff with "Duddits." I'm sick of King overidentifying with his characters and making them all writers or get hit by cars. I love his writing to death, but PLEASE give the man a vacation so he can come up with some new, good material.
