Update on everything

sailorhathorLast night I came home from work and the lock on my mailbox was worse than ever. It was practically hanging out of the hole it was so fucked up, but it was still so jammed that I couldn't open it and save my mail. I got so upset I called emergency maintenance. The guy never showed up and didn't even have the guts to call me. >:( I was soooo angry. This morning, I went into the office and ripped them a new asshole. Then I went down to this post office that is on the DART train route and got a new PO Box. I picked this one because I could visit it and check my mail after work if I wanted to, and it wouldn't take me super far out of my way. I'm going to have to do it anyway, so I went ahead and filled out the form to forward my mail. I'll feel better knowing that my mail isn't sitting in a box where fucking hoodlums live, who would stoop to attempting to break into people's mailboxes for money. After I got home, the maintenance man finally fixed my lock (gee, thanks for doing it AFTER I got fed up). It took him about FIFTEEN MINUTES. And this couldn't be done earlier in the week WHY?
The corporation that owns my apartment building is going to be getting a nice long letter/phone call/whatever about all my issues with maintenance. This whole thing was just so ridiculous. At least I was able to save my mail!
