I got A LOT unpacked today. It feels sooooo good just looking at my apartment as it gets set up. But WHERE ARE THE KEYS TO MY FILING CABINET? WHERE, wheeeeeeere?!?! What the flip did I do with them?!?! This is driving me nuts. They should have been in the same place as the keys to the video cabinets. They're NOT. I have no idea where they are at this point. I hope they turn up soon!
Most stuff survived the move, but a few things did get broken. Something I have learned in life: Curio cabinets from Mexico sure are pretty, but the glass in the doors is more fragile than other glass, apparently. El fragile-o. (El cheapo.) Maybe I better start looking for little cabinets made in America from now on, if they're not too expensive.
I'm not liking that new show "Supernatural" much so far. I hate the way they mix urban legends. That Hookman episode mixed about three. It's good to hear hard rock music on tv, finally, but why'd it have to be a mediocre show? Ohmigawd, is that Def Leppard?! But, show, sucky... one cool thing - the guy who plays the older brother went to my high school, wooooooo go Rams!!! But the show just isn't written very well. Like, last week, with the bugs attacking because of some Indian curse... lame, first of all. Second, the curse starts at midnight. They run around the house for what should have been all of ten minutes, trying to escape the bugs, and suddenly, the sun comes up? WTF? I think the sun stays down a little longer than that...
Anyway, I kind of wanted to watch it to see what the big dramatic brouhaha would be about (mildly curious) tonight. What happened? I didn't watch it because Bon Jovi was on the Country Music Awards. Which was like HUH? I had to see what this was about. Then I figured out that it must be because of the duet they did with a chick from Sugarland. Now THAT was interesting. When I first heard their new album, and got to "Who Says You Can't Go Home," my first reaction was, "Huh. Bon Jovi just did a country song." I mean, it was plainly a country song. I thought it was kinda cool. It's not a huge departure for them, as far as I'm concerned, because Jon has been writing country song LYRICS for years. He wrote a song that goes, "You said you couldn't live without me, so why aren't you dead? Instead of six feet under, you're in someone else's bed." Those are country music lyrics! I definitely don't mind the occasional experimental foray into other genres of music, but I would prefer Bon Jovi stick with their signature sound for the majority of their songs. Which they do. Their new album gets better upon subsequent listenings, btw. Oh, and they did play "Who Says You Can't Go Home" with that same singer of Sugarland on the CMA's.
Someone remind me to masturbate a lot tomorrow just so I can say Greyhound paid me to masturbate. >:)
