Stuff I got

yuletide this year. Warning! Story is smut-filled! (If you're reading this and you're actually considering being offended by that possibility, why the hell do you know me? ;D) The smut has a purpose, too! Not that smut needs a purpose, but it can be a plus. ;) Anyway, I liked the tone and structure of the story - very Ring-y. Ending is good too; it helps that I pretty much understood what the crypticness meant. I think.
What I got for Christmas/Yule: $25 gift cert I mentioned before, two pretty shirts (very Laurel, always nice to see a family member respect my style), a cutting board, set of knives (I need me some big knives, for the kitchen, and for KILLING stabbity stabbity), money, ummmm I think that's it. Other stuff doesn't count 'cause I bought it for myself. ;) I did NO decorating this year, which kind of depresses me. I just couldn't find the time to put up the Command Adhesive clips for my lights that I wanted to put in the window. It would have taken hours. But there were no pretty lights in my window. :( And now it's too late.
My niece and nephew have GROWN so much. They are both teens now. They don't look like children anymore, they've both got their "adult" faces now. It's so WEIRD. I still look at them and expect them to be the little kids I spent so much time with. I went over there to visit tonight to give peeps my presents and stuff and my brother says they are driving me home because they can't see letting me take the bus home on Christmas, so yay for me, but guess who drove me home with my brother in the passenger seat, not the driver's seat? My nephew! And he's a decent driver! IT'S SO WEIRD. Bizarro world!
Asian movies to recommend that I've seen lately: The Eye 2, which was more interesting than the first one.
Well, okay, movie to recommend. 'Cause I can't recommend this one.
Asian movie not to recommend: Dark Water. I got off track during our phone conversation, Kaye, and didn't finish my thought about this movie. It was slow, not spooky, and had an unnecessarily sad ending. There were a few okay things in it that had the potential to be cool, but the rest of the movie dragged it all down. Disappointing. I hope the American remake is good, since I have it on my Netflix list.
Time to go take the wrapping off the knives. >:) Muhahahaha. I'm going to CHOP SOME VEGETABLES!! Kill the vegetables, kill kill!!! ;)
