sailorhathorHoly squeegasm my GAWD that was the most amazing episode. I don't totally buy the logic behind why they all had to separate, I mean, I understood it, but it seemed like a forced reason for them to go their separate ways again. Like, it was done more for the sake of the tv show keeping the same dynamic than for any reason that made sense in the actual lives of the Winchesters. I really thought they might do the big gutsy thing and have John die. It's better that he's still around, though.
What really made this episode so damn awesome was the intense emotion between the members of this family. All the shiny eyes and unshed tears! POOR DEAN! He never wants a normal life, he just wants to hunt with his family until he's too old to lift a gun, but Sam would (currently) leave him if this all ended. OUCH. I almost burst into tears for them. Then I had to hold it back again when John and Sam made up. The family drama is really what this show is all about.
Lots of great comedy moments too. "DudeI'vegottatalktoyou!"
Kaija, did we or did we not peg Dean as a biter? This episode pretty much proves it, with Sam going, "Bite me," and Dean replying, "Bite her," then trying to give Sam a lecture about not leaving teeth marks. Which is extremely funny since the new fic has a moment where Evie notices some light teeth marks on Paul's neck and Paul's all O_O while Dean just snickers. X-)
Now we endure the loooooong hiatus of doom.
Tomorrow begins the Great Four Days of Birthdayramas. March 1 - Jensen Ackles turns 28. March 2 - Moi turns 33. Jon Bon Jovi turns 44, I believe. March 3 - My imaginary kid Lolo turns 8. Long, hilarious story. If you already know it, you've known me a long time. March 4 - My dad would have been 75. I'm getting a cake. Pigging out in everyone's honor! Then I'll cancel the whole cake out by eating a salad. ^_^
