Today would have been my dad's 75th birthday.

I was the best daughter I could be, but I still have regrets.

I wish I had made one last turkey for you for Thanksgiving.
I wish we could have taken one last vacation to Mexico and the beach.
I wish you could have lived to see me publish a book.
I wish you could have lived to see me get married, if it ever happens, so you could walk me down the aisle. I would never deny you that privilege.
I wish I could have gone over to visit you today and brought you a present.
I wish there was one more joke to tell you, and one more Aggie joke for you to pass on to me. I'm a fun gi!
I wish you were here to put some ketchup on something totally inappropriate, like chinese food. Or a big bowl of crackers.
I just wish you were still here, watching your game shows and westerns and freakin' boring war movies, and talking over all of them until I want to gag you, 'cause I miss even the things about you that drove me crazy.

I love you Dad.

The only thing I do not regret is that you can now be with Mom.
