OMFG dsfsfjwejkdsksj woo
Mar. 30th, 2006 08:14 pmWatching the new episode of "Supernatural" now.
Okay, first thing I did was scream out loud when they showed that the new episode took place in Richardson, Texas. You know Jensen was partially responsible for that. That is THE COOLEST THING EVER. My hometown, finally on TV. Or, mentioned on TV, anyway. WooHOO! ::does the WooHOO Dance of WooHOOness::
Yay, I get to point out the inaccuracies for once!
- No farmhouses in Richardson. There's a horse farm in the middle of the city, near a Blockbuster Video, of all things. But no farms that I know of. You want farms, drive north.
- Richardson is in Dallas County. Collin County is the county just north of here. I'm not sure why they went there to visit the library when Richardson has one, but I do appreciate them trying for the accuracy.
- Richardson police do not wear cowboy hats. The police cars are either medium blue or white. The uniforms are grey blue.
- The big tall trees are all wrong. None of the trees here look like that.
WooHOO stuff:
The prank stuff is a SCREAM. Dean's first prank, gaaaah, I laughed so hard. Is it possible to fall in love with a fictional character? Get me a clone of Dean, I need a boyfriend. I love his attempts to remove the extra strength stick up Sam's ass.
The ghost hunters are great, soooo funny. See, this is why I don't ghost hunt - because that would be me, doing the same thing when the ghost showed up. SCREAMING and RUNNING. Everyone on my "team" would have to get real used to the sight of the back of my head. Reading about it? Great! Seeing it? Ooh, not so into that.
I would bet cash money that the awesome record store is a reference to Bill's Records and Tapes. Anyone who's ever lived in Richardson, hell, Dallas, in the last 25-30 years has been in Bill's. Local legend. I would say Forever Young Records is a possible contender also, but that's over near Ft. Worth. Bill's is actually in Richardson. Did they ever show the name of the record store on the show?
I too went, "What is that symbol?! I know that symbol!" Then I bust a gut when it turned out it was the symbol of Blue Oyster Cult.
Love the little giggling man holding the fish and how Dean just wouldn't leave it alone, then they stole it. XD
Why is Sam so bitchy in this ep? Geez, you got a better idea to get rid of the baddie, go ahead. At least you Samites got some Sam-just-out-of-the-shower eye candy this time around. He doesn't look like he'd be that muscular from the outside of his clothes, for some reason. It's like, the Sam-in-a-towel image just doesn't fit with the Sam-in-clothes image. ::Shrug:: ^_^? But yeah, he is muscular.
This episode gets major points for being set in Richardson. Otherwise, had some really fun moments. But it was filler. Which isn't so bad.
