sailorhathorCouldn't stand the pressure in my ear and neck anymore, so I called in and went to the doctor. I have an inner ear infection. Have medicine now, hope it works soon before my neck explodes. This stuff is making me sleepy.
To just top off my day right, the state of Texas decided that the best way to deal with the record 101 degree heat today was to shut off the electrical power for some and the gas for others. My gas is off until ????? I have no A/C and no working stove. (I thought I had no hot water, but I just tested it and it's on. WHERE'S MY GAS STOVE AND A/C THEN?!) Needless to say, I'm sweating my ass off and I'm, again, pretty miserable. At least I still have electricityKNOCKONWOOD. There, no jinx. ^_^ I'm really hoping the gas will be back on in the morning. Way to go, state of Texas! Way to deal with record heat, shut off the A/C so everybody DIES. I guess I understand the principles behind rolling blackouts, but what the hell do they expect people to do when it's 101 outside and they have no A/C?! People DIE in that kind of heat. I bet they murdered a bunch of old people today.
