Usually I'm pretty open to movie remakes; I at least give them a chance to suck or not suck. But the previews of the remake of "The Omen," HISSSSSSSSSS. BLASPHEMY. How can you take a brilliant horror movie that starred freakin' Gregory Peck and Lee Remick and turn it into this? Fuckin' UCK. Damien was a child, and though he had a bit of instinct for what he was, he wasn't conscious of the fact that he was the anti-christ until the second movie. So to have the kid act stereotypically evil is just stupid and so typical of today's crappy horror movies. I could just smack the filmmakers around and LIKE it. Immensely.
I really like how in the remake scene where the mom falls over the stair railing, she's wearing high heels and they DON'T FALL OFF while she's hanging from the upper floor. Whatever, movie.
Go rent the original. Brutal, frightening, and totally wicked. One of my favorite movies of all time.
In other news, what the hell is "Supernatural" fandom doing to me? Stuff I swore I would never write has been happily gadding through my head for months now, with nice new evil plot bunnies to keep it company. Think I'll distract the muses with ideas I would not be ashamed to write for a while. See if the evil plot bunnies die. Hopefully, they won't MULTIPLY. O_o Holy crap.
