A restaurant in downtown Dallas caught fire this afternoon. The fire spread into the adjoining businesses. I'm not sure if they've been able to put it out yet, but the newscaster said the fire had spread into The Arcadia theatre. Noooooooo! My sister and I used to go there A LOT in our teenage years to see bands play. Local, bigger acts, whatever. We filmed many bands there during the time that we were big local band supporters. My first and only involuntary mosh pit that lasted ten seconds before I got my feet back on the ground (seriously, my feet were literally off the ground as I was pressed between people; weeee!). The Circle Jerks concert where Shelly got beaten up by nazi skinheads for yelling, "White flowers!" over them. All the times my sister and I went backstage, including the Z-Rock Talent Search, to do interviews. Being snubbed by Pantera when they were still a hair band. Boo! All the Talon/Sedition shows. Yay!

Wow. I had forgotten how much history there was there. It all could be in ashes, in a way, right now.

The fire also claimed what the newscaster called an "adult" store. GASP! THE PORN! NOOOOOO! SAVE THE PORN!!
