You know what would be really cool?

If they are bound and determined to have this Alex character, which I'm not totally sold on and not totally not sold on, wouldn't it be cool if she was played by Michelle Trachenburg? (Tratchenburg? Trachtenburg? Michelle T.) They've had other "Buffy" and "Angel" alumns on the show, why not her? Maybe she's a little young looking for Dean, though... but I like her. I would be all over her being Sam's love interest, to be developed over the entire second season. Yeah, that'd be awesome! If it was all done really well, I'd be all for it. The whole "Dean almost gets killed Sam almost gets killed Dean almost gets killed Sam almost gets killed JOHN almost gets killed and now we're back to Deeeean" thing wore thin on me. I'd really like to see a few new recurring characters. They don't have to ride in the back of the Impala all the time on jobs, but... just some new people. I'd appreciate 'em.

Doesn't mean I want to see John on every episode, though. I'm glad that's not going to happen. John, the Fun Sucker, sucks all the fun out of the room. Though I'd really prefer they don't kill him off. Too early to kill him off. He needs to die at the end of the second season. That'd be perfect timing. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
