Before bed, I must squee
Jul. 26th, 2006 12:55 amNoooot feeling well, generally weak and feel like dawg poop. I've missed A LOT of work and I'm not going to like my next check, but there have been days when I just had no energy whatsoever, like, barely able to drag my ass off the floor after I sit down to put on my shoes weak. I should get by because we get three checks in September. But still, wah. Tomorrow I HAVE to go to work and I HAVE to stay there, if I want any check at all.
Anyway, I will be doing all my major squeeing after work tomorrow, but just had to say that I LOVE THE KOREAN AND JAPANESE SENSE OF HORROR!! I'm going to MARRY IT. HOW do they DO it?! How do they manage to make movies that just reach down inside me and either yank out the dark, smirky little girl that coos, "Oooooooh, dead ballerina! Pretty dolly!" or shove her into the black closet and scare her so bad that she's shrieking, "I won't sleep for WEEKS after seeing that!" The filmmakers there just create some of the wickedest imagery!
I watched Wishing Stairs tonight. The major criticism I would have for it is the same criticism I would have for most Japanese and Korean horror movies - get on with the story!! We have no need for seeing long, drawn out scenes of small talk. Other complaints, I'll get to tomorrow night. But overall, GAAAAH I love the ghost ballerina stuff! The costumes were so beautiful. They should have just given us 90 minutes of (insert her name here, which I'll get before tomorrow off the net somewhere) Ghost Ballerina scaring the crap out of her classmates. Anytime they have a lovely Asian ghost girl crawling around with her black hair brushed over her face, I'm a total sucker; I eat it up. (Well, almost.) Add in the gorgeous ballerina costumes... smeared with BLOOD!... and I'm a happy Lo-chan.
Eeeeeee she was a cool ghost. Must find pictures. Must make icons. Plot bunnies, evil plot bunnies...
