Num num night
Jan. 31st, 2003 06:56 pmWe had pizza again tonight. I'd love it if we made this a regular Friday night thing. Actually my dad and I used to go out to eat every Friday years ago, but that stopped for a few years because Friday became my "hang out with Nancy" night for awhile. Then that ended, and maybe Friday can become eat out night again. That'd be cool. ^_^ I love Cici's.
I'm trying not to get excited, but my dad got a letter stating that his uncle had left him some money when he died. My dad's getting $15,000 around March 1! The reason I'm keeping myself from getting excited is that I would expect my dad, just because of how he is, to offer a little of the money to each of his kids. Then, my birthday is March 2, so... man I could really use some new job interview clothes. But I'm not going to count on it, because he may squirrel all the money away and just sit on it. He was raised in the Depression Era, where no body spent any money, so often he won't spend money even when he needs something. Other times, he'll suddenly want to buy something very frivolous and spares no expense. I told him he should get a new recliner and vcr; both he went, "Nah, I don't need 'em" to. I expect he will change his mind when the money actually comes. Dad needs a few new things.
I've got Frances and Custard Butt in a cage together now (my guinea pigs). They're both boys, btw. I had a partition separating them, but I eventually want to get them to the point that they can live together without it. I'm trying it again this week. So far Frances has driven Custard Butt crazy chasing him around sniffing his butt, but no bad fights. As long as they're not hurting each other, I'm going to continue to try letting them live together without the partition. It's much easier to deal with the cage without it.
