Organization... to the extreeeeme
Jul. 20th, 2003 04:30 pmMy day is going to be so exciting! I'm reorganizing my VIDEO TAPES! GO ME! Don't you WISH you were HERE?!
Seriously, I realized it was silly to group my tapes by what piece of furniture held them, so that if I wanted to move them around, I couldn't, because I had these lists printed out that were called, "Bookcase," "Cabinet 1," "Video Stands," and so on. If I moved them around, then I'd be looking for tape 71 in the Tower, and it wouldn't be there, and my brain would explode. So, it makes much more sense to have them grouped by number. My print-outs will be "Tapes 1-100," "Tapes 101-200," etc. Then when I go to look for them, it won't matter what piece of furniture or box the tape is in, I just follow the numbers around the room. Stroke of geeeenius!
