Oh lord...

When I was a kid, I thought my name was weird. (It's Laurel.) I tried to change my name to Laura when I was in first grade. My parents said I couldn't. People screwed up my name endlessly all through my childhood and still do. It has been misspelled every way you can think of. Eventually I got to love my name because it is unique and beautiful.

I doubt this kid will ever feel the same.
