Weird dreams
Oct. 13th, 2006 06:58 pmI've got some more babbling to do about SPN, but first, I had a couple of really bizarre dreams last night that I wanted to catalog (since that's one of the things I regularly do here).
The first one was about SPN. In it, Sam and Dean were sleeping on a mattress on someone's floor. Sam was already asleep, wearing all his clothes. (??) Even his shoes. (???) Dean was still awake, sitting on a window seat, but he decided to go to bed and just sort of rolled onto the mattress in this really limber way that looked quite painful to me, lol. He takes off his shoes using his feet and then grabs Sam's limp hand and puts it in his hair, then proceeds to rub his head against it while trying to fall asleep. LOL. The scene switched to some old priest talking to Sam and Dean about the wages of sin, and how touching each other may feel good, but it's bad bad bad! It makes the saints cry! Man, some of the shit my subconscious comes up with.
The second dream was really disturbing. It followed right after the Wincest head-rubbing dream. I turned my head from my computer and saw my nephew, Zach, standing there. He was under the age of ten again, pretty young, wearing all white. I screamed because GAH, random kid suddenly standing in my room! Then I realized it was Zach. He says something to the effect of it's time for him to go, and I knew something was really wrong since he was a kid again (he's 18 now). He turns from me. I started to get up but I was moving in dream slow-mo. I go wait, at least let me hug you! Zach looks back (he's running from the room now) and says, "Oh, you see a tear in my eye? I'm crying, you say?" O_o I got ahold of his shirt but he pulls away from me, and I screamed, "Zach, are you okay?!" At this point, I was fighting to wake up, so I actually spoke these words aloud. I got up to use the bathroom and saw that it was 6:30 AM. Too early to call anybody and make sure my stupid dream didn't mean anything, but that's instantly what I wanted to do. Dream freaked me out.
More random thoughts on SPN episodes that have already aired. Small spoilers. I realized something about the clown episode. When Sam and Dean first went to the roadhouse, the place wasn't open, so they just broke in. Was this really the best impression they could make? Why didn't they just come back when it was open? They just wanted to talk to Ellen, not do clandestine operations on her. Honestly, Dean deserved to get punched in the face for that. I didn't like the way they handled the punch, but it was definitely asked for. I think I would have liked it better if Ellen punched him.
Another thought. Gordon's parents: "Look at our beautiful new baby. He's never going to be a badass vampire hunter, in need of a cool name, so let's give him a name befitting an accountant. We shall call him Gordon!" Yeah, I'm still bitter.
On the issue of siblings hitting each other: I really don't understand why it disturbs me so bad that Dean hit Sam. I thought about it and realized that my sister slapped me twice during our childhoods. I remember that it happened but I can't remember how old we were. I just remember cussing at her one time and she smacked me. The other time, I can't remember what it was for. There were times when I hit her, but I never hit her face. There's just something all OOOOOH about hitting someone in the face. That made me realize something else - this is a generalization, but I think it's true of many people: Men punch. Women slap. Ever noticed that? Dean punches Sam. Buffy slaps Dawn. And what is it with older siblings thinking they can smack their younger siblings like that? BACK OFF, BITCHES. YOU DON'T OWN ME. It's like older sibs think they are entitled, like we're a form of property, because of the time they've invested in us.
I know, they should call him Gord! Like, he gored someone. That's cool, right? O_o
Oh, and I forgot to mention Sam's psychic moment. When Dean said to Gordon (sob) that he felt like there was a hole inside him he couldn't fill, and all that, and Sam repeated his words back to him while they were fighting. Neat. ^_^ Poor Sam just wants him and Dean to have a crying fit together like Buffy and Dawn had, the emo pansy. ;) Kidding.
Not even Don is cool. There's just no cool way to say Gordon.
