I jotted down reactions to this week's "Supernatural" as it happened. Spoilers below.
I loved the creepy noises caused by the evil spirit in the wall. That was neat. But what's that creepy black stuff? Later, we find out it's ectoplasm. BLACK ectoplasm, I must correct. (Ectoplasm is WHITE, fellas.) But it was cool anyway.
Ohhhh God. Could anyone see the forced interaction between Jo and Dean and Sam coming? Uuuuuuuugh. When did her name become Joanne? I thought it was Josephine. Oh well, GOOD. I LIKE the name Josephine and would rather not have it ruined for me.
They are trying SO HARD to force Jo on us, aren't they?
Since when did having a knife collection in college make anyone a freak? Can we get with reality here please? College is one place where being a freak is not so big a thing. You meet so many different types of people there from all over the country and often, the world, that having a knife collection is nothing. College is a great big world. Come back and see me when you do something that would *really* freak out your average college student. Must've been freshmen.
She's not as annoying as usual this time because Dean's reading her the riot act a lot. "No one chooses this life." "You got a lot of half-baked romantic ideas put in your head by barflies." "You've got a mother who worries about you. You shouldn't throw that away." GO DEAN GO!!!
Haha, I like how Dean's sleeping in the chair. That looks comfortable. Not.
I spoke too soon. Jo is such a Mary Sue. God. I'm really starting to think that half of it is the actress just isn't very good at this kind of role. She's not selling it to me. Still no chemistry with Dean.
Yeah, that's a large part of it. She just delivered a line that should have been very funny, but it was flat as a pancake. I'd probably like her if she was played by someone capable.
This is me tolerating the forced interaction between Jo and Dean that should be UST but is just eye-rolling crap until the next possibly good scene.
Can you go to commercial, please? I gotta pee real bad.
Please make Dean stop caring about Jo screaming. I sure don't. Goodie, maybe she'll die.
"I wish I'd cleaned the pipes." What the hell does this mean? Does Dean wish he'd taken a shower that morning? Does he need to take a piss? Wha?
Commercial. Ahhhh.
Watching Dean fret over Jo is so IRRITATING because I TOTALLY don't believe it.
Dean has a real ringtone, hee. Anyone know what song that was?
Dean is OVERFRETTING. He doesn't even fret this much over SAM. Are they trying to make me hate this character for all she's worth, because Jo is too badly acted to warrant this much Deanfreak.
Man, I really wanted to like this episode. They ruined it.
Would you STOP making Dean freak out over finding Jo? Do you WANT US to HATE her? It's too much. He's never freaked this much before. Not in this manner. GOD.
"Dig here."
*Dean frantically digs before Sam even finishes the sentence.*
Ugh, PLEASE. My head hurts from being hit with the plot point.
I guess you could make the excuse that Dean is freaking because someone disappeared on his watch, but did it have to be someone so irritating?
Whoever wrote this thing, stay out of the stash of fanfic written by 14-year-olds. It isn't good to steal from.
Sam's barely in this. I actually miss Sam. Jared probably loved it, though, because he got to sleep.
They used a real serial killer for the Monster of the Week. That's neat. Yay?
How can you encase a SPIRIT in cement? I guess it'll keep anyone from coming in there, or the salt from being washed away... um, that sewer isn't in use anymore, right? Eh... somehow, this doesn't seem like much of a solution. I think I would have preferred the scene someone suggested on one of the SPN lj comms, I think it was
slytherinblack: That they dig up H.H. Holmes and Dean bitches the entire time they're chipping away at the cement surrounding his corpse, lol.
HAHA, okay, that was funny. I'm like why the hell is Sam sitting in the back? XD
Jo's hair doesn't dry very fast.
Aw, John got Jo's dad killed. I guess that was supposed to make me go GASP but I could care less, really. Now Jo's mad at Dean and Sam even though they didn't do anything. GOOD, stay mad at them and never see them again. Really, Jo, you're so right to be mad. Stay with that. Those damn Winchester boys. Stay away from Dean, away! It's better this way, really, sweets. *patpat*
What a lousy episode that turned out to be.
I liked "Bugs" better than that. "BUGS," Eric Kripke. You can go die now.
It seems I have even more to say!
