SPN "The Usual Suspects"
Nov. 9th, 2006 09:49 pmBefore I go on to that, I realized a big reason why I dislike Jo so much. Her voice. The actress has a really soft, girly speaking voice, and in order to "be" Jo, she puts on a fake one that sounds "tougher." It doesn't work for her and just irritates the fuck out of me. Really, I have no fuck left. Every word that comes out of her mouth makes me cringe. Well, every other word. Seriously, I think I would actually like Jo if she had been cast better. I just don't believe her in the role for a second.
Anyway, now to this week's episode.
I love Linda Blair. I want to have her babies. She's just so cool. I hope they have her back on the show sometime. I love how when she smiles, she still looks all applecheeked and just like she looked in The Exorcist. Hey, that cop looks a great deal like a reporter in Woodsboro, California! That's strange! ;)
Last week, we had hardly any Sam. To balance it out, this week, we had hardly any Dean. :( But he was replaced by Linda Blair, which was almost okay. So I forgive them.
I liked the recap of Sam and Dean's crimes. Just cool. Really fun.
I wonder what they found when they exhumed "Dean Winchester." Hey wait, Kripke steals from "Buffy" and "Angel" all the time - why not steal from "Dark Angel" now? Clear Dean of the charges in St. Louis by giving him a "twin"! If they can falsify IDs, why not birth records? Dan Winchester did it!
Just imagine if Dean were twins... ahhhhh... ^_____________^ sweet
Jim Rockford, hehehehehe. Don't people who run motels watch tv?
I didn't see the point of making the name an anagram. "Ashland Sup" would've been cryptic enough. I guess people just really like anagrams. Hey Ashland, sup?
I figured out that the other cop was the killer really early on in the episode. It wasn't the most carefully hidden twist there. He wasn't Tony, was he? Tony was John's friend? What was the cop's name?
I love that Sam loves Dean so much that he isn't willing to give him up to save his own skin. Yay go Sammy!
Heehee, loved how when Dean couldn't explain his way out of this crime, he just gave up and told the truth. They all thought he was nuts.
Ooh, John had people involved in drugs for friends? Tsk tsk tsk.
I loved that once Diane had seen something supernatural, she was able to admit it to herself and go to Sam for help. I dislike it when cops are always portrayed as clueless in these situations, never able to budge for a second. It's cool when cops on paranormal shows are able to be skeptical, but also believe when there is good reason. I just really like the idea. (Oh yeah, I guess that's why I created Marie McCann and her partner, Chuck.) She let Dean and Sam go! She knew it would be better if they were out there saving lives than cooling their heels in jail. ^_^
Bad cop (paraphrased): "Who cares about him? He's just another scumbag."
Dean: "Hey!"
Laurel: "Teeheeheehee!"
Also loved the line at the end where Sam said something like "she's pretty cool" and Dean goes, "For a cop." XD Dean and cops do not make good potato chip dip. (They don't mix like french onion and creamy smooth whatever that white stuff is... god I want junk food.)
Oh, and WTF? "Your father's whereabouts are unknown." Um, HE DIED. Or... did Elroy McGillicutty die? X_x So confusing, looking at this through the eyes of what the authorities are and are not supposed to know. And did that make them Dean and Sam McGillicutty? XD XD
Next week's ep... uh oh. Dean feels so guilty. :( Poor baby. I haven't even seen it yet and I already love the idea of a supernatural crossroads. I wonder if ley lines will figure into it at all. ^_^
Just thought of something - for those of you who obsess over the timeline, Sam's broken wrist will help you put a number of weeks on how much time passes between certain episodes. It takes about 6 weeks for the average bone to heal. Of course, that's only if they keep up with it on the show and remove Sam's cast when they should.
Anyway, tonight's ep was okay. The story, eh. Hardly any Dean quippage, which needs to come back like NOW. Dean looked HOT when they did show him. Brothers sticking together, YAY. Linda Blair, YAAAAAY.
I would really like to see some new urban legends and cool paranormal shit on the show again, please. I'm a little sick of the usual ghost who wants revenge and blah blah blah. The supernatural stuff is getting repetitive and dull.
Oh, how could I forget Dean's faces and whacky noises? Heeheehee! Loved that. He can be so obnoxious.
In other news, hellooooooo Mother Nature! It's NOVEMBER. Why were we in the 80's today?!?! It's HOT in here, in my cheapass building with no A/C in November. I am sick to death of sweating in my own home and carrying a fan around with me when I switch rooms. You were doing fine with the cooler temperatures. Go with that. Please. I promise, I'll avoid the "all bills paid" apartments from now on, but right now, I'm stuck in this one, so can we cool it off outside?
