My effing God, but everybody wants to ride Grey Dawg this Thanksgiving. I am so very glad I do not work at a terminal right now, and instead work in the call center. Today was a lot quieter, but Monday was nuts! They are offering extra hours to make sure we are covering all the calls, and every available computer had a person at it that day. It was so loud in the call center with all that talking! A word of advice: if you are riding the bus to get somewhere for this holiday, DO NOT RETURN HOME ON SUNDAY. EVERYONE wants to return on Sunday. Seriously. 99% of the calls I got this week featured people who wanted to return home on Sunday. There's a very good chance you will get stranded somewhere. Return some other day!

And I have to work Sunday. ACK. Nightmare. One call after another of people bitching about being stranded. :P

Anyway, good thing is that with non-stop calls, the days have gone really fast, and I only have one more to work before my regular days off. ^__^

Did my research for future SPN fic featuring Harvelle's Roadhouse and an interloping teenager who definitely looks too young to drink. It was the first link. That was easy. ^_^

Bahaha, I can make Ellen freak out. *happy*

In other news, I decided to watch John Carpenter's Vampires to get some background on the sequel that I like, Vampires: Los Muertos. I really thought this might be a fun movie because, dude, James Woods as a vampire hunter! He's got such a nice, dry wit to him. But it sucked horribly. The acting was just awful. It's got one of the Lesser Baldwins in it. He should fix air conditioners or something. Can't. Act. Most everyone just sleepwalked through their roles. The men were so damn abusive to women and just generally mean that I wondered who my heroes were supposed to be. I mean, I like grey areas, but not "OMG that asshole just hit her!" areas. Did I say before that the acting was bad? It was to the point that Lesser Baldwin #5 said he was in love with the hooker and I went, "When did this happen?" Because it was JUST that abrupt.

The vampire-killing weapons were absolutely laughable. They seriously looked like toys bought at Wal-Mart. I am *completely* serious when I say that. And priests are not supposed to look like alternative band members. Priests are clean cut, like Paul was. (Although he was an almost-priest, but still...)

Not that there weren't a few fun scenes. I did grin when James Woods as Jack Crow jumped on the vampire, stabbing him with a stake, and cried, "Die cocksucker, die die die!" *stab stab stab* Nicely over the top, hee. I did also like when he was trying to get information out of the priest and he's just like here you go, and puts a towel in the priest's mouth very nonchalantly, and then just cuts the guy's hand. His attitude could be very funny at times. Unfortunately, not enough times.

The master vampire was fucking ugly. Master vampires should be hot, movie!

There was one character I liked a lot. Katrina the hooker! She was the only person in the movie who actually tried to act convincingly, and she did a nice job.

Now I would like to read the book the movie was based on; I've heard it's far superior to the movie (which, frankly, isn't hard to be, but it's still probably good).

Los Muertos was a better movie. Which isn't saying much either. At least the vampire-hunting team in that was like a family. And fairly well acted. They actually tried!

Thanksgiving and two days off is almost here! I will be doing some writing that I badly need to do over that time. Weeeee! Can't wait for work to be over tomorrow. ^______^
