[livejournal.com profile] spn_fridayfive for week 7.

1. What's the single episode that's affected you the most so far? And why/how so?

I'd say "Scarecrow" because it's the episode that converted me into a fan. Dean said, "Dude, you fugly," and I fell in love with him right then and there (TV Boyfriend Love, not Real Life Love, since it isn't possible to fall in love with someone who doesn't exist, heh).

2. If fandoms were to collide, which character (from which fandom) would you place in the Winchesters' lives? Or, which fandom would you place the Winchesters in? Why?

Uh duuuuuuuuuuuuuuh, I don't knooooow, I hit my head on the fridgerdator or somethin'. They let me dress myself today. *smiles really goofy and big*

That joke is for everyone who has been reading my journal for the last almost-year and knows that I am an absolute freak for the idea of Dean hooking up with Paul Callan from "Miracles." Since "Miracles" was cancelled, Paul should be on SPN!! The sight of Jensen and Skeet Ulrich on the same screen would set my panties a-fire every week. Add in the extra added bonus of supernatural plot lines and I'm a happy, horny camper.

3. Considering the way that Dean and Sam were brought up, do you think their childhood fears are any different from what children's fears normally are?

This question reminds me of how I showed scary ghost movies to my niece and nephew and they weren't afraid of them very much like I was when I was their age. Then my niece went home and screamed and cried at a squirrel because I told her they carried rabies and she should stay away from them. She was *terrified* of the damn furry little thing because of that. (Oops.) She would also become hysterical at the sight of a wasp. Those are the sorts of things I think little Sam and Dean were afraid of - not ghosts and monsters. Dumb things, like squirrels. Because it's funny.
Seriously, I bet they were more afraid of abandonment than monsters. John had to leave them with random people quite a bit when they were too young to hunt, and I'm sure that made them afraid he might not come back. I mean, the man left the boys alone to fend for themselves when they were much too young to be left alone ("Something Wicked") for at least two days; that kind of thing makes a kid scared of being abandoned.

4. What do you think Dean and Sam were like in school? (Ie, in terms of grades, friend-making, etc?)

I think they moved around a lot between periods of temporary stability that lasted maybe a year or two at the most. Because of this, I think Sam tried as hard as he could to make friends, join clubs, go on school trips, anything to feel stable and like he belonged somewhere. He'd try to fit as much normalcy into his time in any particular city. Then he'd be ripped from all that again and again, and hate his father for it every time it happened. Dean strikes me as the kind of kid who made friends easily using his charm and wit, but also made enemies with his loud mouth and refusal to back down from anyone. Why would he have any reason to back down? Cocky son of a bitch with model good looks and a well-armed, psycho father doesn't need to back down. (Until John tells him to, to stop drawing attention to himself, of course.) Dean probably got by on his looks and charm quite a bit, using it to get good grades when he didn't have time or desire to study through getting other students to let him cheat or do his papers for him. He probably could have gotten mostly B's and some A's all on his own, but he was too busy learning how to hunt and such to care. Sam probably did some papers for him, crammed with him, stuff like that, at times. I'm sure Dean enjoyed screwing as many good-looking girls as he could get his hands on instead of concentrating on school. Screwing, partying, road trips, hunting - I think those activities defined Dean's teenage years. For some reason, I see Sam as being really awkward when he was a teen, with lots of acne, and very shy. So he didn't score as much as Dean. Well, really, he didn't "score" at all, because Sam's not a slut. Sam "makes love." XD And I'm sure Dean took care of Sam as much as possible, trying to get him laid all the time, much to Sam's embarrassment. :D
Stop me before I write a novel on this one.

5. What kind of pets can you imagine the boys having? XDD

Dean - dogs. Big, fluffy, goofy dogs that are good at running around the park and catching frisbees. I wish they had a dog to roadtrip with on the show right now. Sam - just because of the way he is, I see him taking in strays and trying to give them a stable home. Rabbits, raccoons, injured forest animals he can nurse back to health. A fox with its leg caught in a bear trap is right up Sam's alley. I'm not sure why. He just strikes me that way.
