SPN "Tall Tales" recap
Feb. 18th, 2007 12:12 amThe following will contain spoilers for the Supernatural episode "Tall Tales."
When I saw the recap at the beginning of the ep, I went YAY! Another prank episode! Yes yes yes yes yes! It turned out not to be so much about that, but it was still a very funny episode. With my sinus problems, I don't breathe so well all the time now, and you know a show was really funny when I nearly cough up a lung from laughing at it.
They used Joe Walsh and the James Gang "Walk Away" again! Love that song.
When Sam asked Dean to turn the music down, and he, of course, turned it up, heeheehee. He's such a sarcastic ass. I love Dean for that. Totally typical brothers, too.
I'm being forgetful. What did Sam do to the Impala that Dean was mad at him over at the beginning of the ep?
Random Guy: "If no one lives to tell the tale, then how does the tale get told?" Haha, good question! That's why Mickey and Mallory left one alive to tell the tale.
Purple Nurples. Bahha. How are those made?
Starla had an ugly face. Was she the same chick at the end, the blonde Tricketer's Tramp? 'Cause both those girls were WOOF. I did think it was funny when she said hello to Sam using that phrase... I have no idea what language it is nor how to spell it, so I'd love if someone would spell it out for me.
The differences between how Dean and Sam saw Dean's tryst with Starla was a scream. Sam going, "Blah blah blah blah blah. BLAH?!" had me laughing so hard I couldn't BREATHE. I can see Dean totally seeing Sam that way, that he's such a nag sometimes, the Fun Police. It was just great that they actually personified it. The fact that the last BLAH sounded like Sam would have sounded if he had whined Dean's name, and instead it's another "BLAH" just had me rolling. I remember Karen and I doing stuff like that as a joke, saying nonsense stuff and trying to make it sound like an actual conversation.
"You're like an old married couple." Haha, that's what my stupid brother said about me and my dad. It's called living with someone to the point that you know each other really well. You just fight sometimes. No big. Anyway, I just think it's cute, that Bobby's getting to know the boys so well.
The way Sam sees Dean as a gluttonous, slutty pig was hilarious. How the hell did Jensen do that with his mouth?! WOW he can fit a lot of food in there! I'm surprised he didn't choke. It almost looked like a special effect, like freakin' Plastic Man.
Busty Asian Beauties! Dean likes Asian girls, it's canon, lol. Make room for Tenshi.
Hey dude, you liked getting probed and you know it. Why else did you keep talking about how much they probed you? Slow dancing with the alien, rofl. That whole thing was like a really good crack!fic.
Sam: "I never said that!"
Dean: "You're always saying pansy stuff like that."
And, one of my favorite lines ever:
Dean: "I'm a joy to be around."
When Dean gets arrogant, it's just so damn funny and sexy. He wears it well. Guy's got plenty to be arrogant about, which makes it balance out.
I cannot believe they got away with having Dean call those people dicks. TV confuses me with what is and isn't okay to say.
The Sam and Dean fight on the bed, when Sam was trying to get his money clip, was very cute and funny and typical of brothers that get along, but it was also obvious pandering to the Wincest fangirls, so it made me roll my eyes while I was laughing. Something about it was a bit over the top for me.
They have nice fighting chemistry, though. It's amusing.
The Trickster was kinda cute. ^_^
Barry White, PAhahaha.
"It's going to feel real." Ooh, poor Dean. He wanted to jump right on that bed and partake of the whores. Psst. Dean. Do it, then kill the Trickster anyway. *wink and a thumbs up*
When the Trickster Bitches were beating Dean up, his shirt kept riding up. Repeatedly. Yumm-aye.
Um... the Trickster's death... wow, abrupt. I knew right then and there that it was a trick, another illusion. It just happened too quick. YAY, maybe Mr. Cute Trickster will be back.
Dean reads the Weekly World News, heeeee. That is just too cute. The article from that paper that "interviewed" Sam and Dean actually tried to create some canon, with all the stuff about Dean reading the paper since he was nine, and why. It was really funny, with Dean saying that the WWN was the only paper that dared to print the truth. HEE! It was very clever, I thought.
All in all, one of my favorite season 2 episodes.
Ohhhh I'm going through one of my manic phrases lately and I have so much to talk about, and not enough time to type it all. I'm going to try to type a bit here and there because I like to babble. FTW!
