While reading my Fiend's pages, someone suggested the pairing of Max/Ben from "Dark Angel." I'm sure it's been done, but I had never thought of it before. Now, I hate Max/Alec. It's like she's just too badly acted for such a wonderful character like Alec. But, I love the sound of Max/Ben. Um, that doesn't make sense, Laurel! They're played by the same actor! Twins! On the other hand, Ben and Alec have completely different personalities. So I'm not crazy. Uhhuh, uhhehheh, ahHAhahahahahahaha!

I'm exhausted from running around in the sun today. I did a little shopping after work and it was SO hot. Not August hot, but hot enough. I got a couple of cheapie used DVDs. After I got home, I realized I got the full screen version of Silent Hill when I wanted the widescreen version. :( Blaah, I'll just keep it. I copied the widescreen version when I got it from Netflix anyway. Also bought the DVD of Ringu because no, I didn't have it, I just had a vhs copy, and I figured it was time I bought it since it's my favorite movie of all time. I used to walk to Movie Trading Company from the train station which is a long, tiring walk. But last time, I noticed bus stops along the street, and I thought oh, Laurel, you dummy, there's a bus that goes along this street. So I used that bus for the first time today. Go me! Making retail scoring easier for Laurels everywhere. I also visited Michael's (the crafts store) to get a box that is like those boxes they used to make us get for school to put pencils and such in. Remember those? The top opens up like a clam shell? I want to put pearls pens and crap in it because I'm always losing that stuff around the tv and have trouble finding it when I need it. The ones at Michael's have no design on them so you can decorate them yourself. Yee! I'm going to print out some pretty flower pictures and glue them to the box. I also bought stick-on rhinestones so my box will be covered with bling! And I got Cow Tails, mmmmm. In case you've never eaten those, they're soft candy that tastes like caramel with cream in the middle. Delish!

Bleeeh, I'll do my recap of SPN some other night. Maybe I'll do part 1 and 2 at the same time, I dunno. Just don't feel like it tonight. Too tired. Tomorrow night I have to go to bed really early for jury duty the next morning (be there at 8:30AM the hell you say!). So pbbt.

I'm having a story dilemma. I know that it would be best if I next wrote more chapters of WIP's, working on stuff that sorely needs an update. But the muses are fighting me. They want me to write new stories right now. Their reply to everything is, "You can write more chapters of ____ during your vacation. Work on _____ right now." It makes me feel a little guilty to write a whole new story when people are asking me when the next episode of SMD is coming out, or the next chapter of "Lacerated Sky." (People luvs their Wincest, don't they?) But hey, it's not like anyone's paying me to write this stuff. If I want to write whatever keeps the peace with the muses and what I feel like writing right now, then I will. I can be just as self-serving as everyone else. I don't get as much feedback as more popular fic writers, so why shouldn't I write what *I* want to read? My vacation is only about three weeks away anyway. So I'm going to try to stop feeling bad about stuff no one cares about but me.

I've gotten lots of lovely feedback over the years from the SMD readers. I want to do a new ep of that fic, but it's just going to have to be saved for my vacation. I tried to work on it, and my mind rebelled. I desperately want to do new chapters of *everything,* but there's just not enough time to get it all done as quickly as I want.

Since I've brought up SMD, that's a whole other dilemma. It's been said that this story has too many characters. I fully agree. I'm having trouble keeping up with all their different stories myself. But I wanted to get every idea that I had into this fanfic because I didn't know if I'd write any others in the "Sailor Moon" fandom. Now, I wish I could move some of these characters to future fics. I did that once - I moved Sailorsupernova to the SMD Movie. I got emails from people going, "Nooooo, put her back!" She's still staying in the movie, but it made me feel guilty. But damn, I still have so much to write in that fic. I just want to get to the really good parts. It's frustrating. I want to please the loyal readers. I don't want to skip good characterization. But DAMN. I was looking through my notes the other day, and, just, DAMN. So many ideas left to write out. Makes me want to bang my head on my desk. The muses are just giving me too much to work with. It causes such an overload and sometimes I just can't handle it. Maybe I'll flip a coin. :P Seriously, I really need to move some of these senshi to future fics. I just don't know who or if it can even be done because their stories wouldn't fit into a future fic; they fit in THIS fic. Gargle blarrrrrg.

Either way, I still love to write.

You guys are all invited to my wedding to the new DVD Recorder/VCR I bought. This thing, AHHHHHH so awesome! I need to take screenshots to show you all some of the neat things I can do with it. One of the best things is being able to insert my own chapter stops. Before the opening credits, chapter stop. After the opening credits, chapter stop. I think blah, I've seen these credits a million times, I'd like to skip them. Boom! Press a button, they're skipped! And it's so easy to convert my vcr tapes to discs with this thing. I'd like to eventually do them all. VCR tapes just take up too much room. Discs are far easier to store and watch. Instead of spending all this time fast-forwarding, I just select the episode I want to watch and press play. No more hunting. I'm all for simplifying my life. ;)

The only bad thing I've found about it so far is it can be a little glichey sometimes. Like, if it fucks up somehow, it ruins the entire disc. Sometimes, when I press Stop, it won't stop the recording properly, and I get this message that says, "Failed to stop current recording." When that happens, the entire disc is just destroyed. Suddenly, it starts saying the disc is blank and I can't record on it anymore. Everything I try to record on it after that does the same thing. It's done this to three discs already. Now, it's properly finished many more discs, but it's still irritating to have to start all over again sometimes. I still love the thing to bits, though.

I got this roast beef sandwich from Kroger while I was out and goddamn, that thing was delicious. Flavorful beef, yummy bread, good cheese, crispy lettuce... mmmmmnumnum. The guy who checked me out wasn't the least bit interested in doing his job so I had to ask for a bag for my stuff, and he put it in this sack that had someone else's toothpicks in it and just gave it to me. I didn't know the toothpicks were in there. So I got two free boxes of toothpicks. Go me! Someone else is going to be upset when they get home and can't pick the food out of their teeth. Haha, when I left the store, the bus was going to leave in only a few minutes, and I didn't want to miss it, so I rushed across this parking lot to get back to the station on time. Then the bus drives RIGHT by that parking lot. XP There was a stop beside the store. XD I didn't see it. Sassin frassin massin tassin bus.

I guess I should stop babbling some time tonight.
