Uh heh heh
Jul. 11th, 2007 07:59 pmI lied. I'm going to have to write my entries for
spn_xx before I can do anything else. I just realized the other day that I have about five weeks left and two stories to do. With work being so busy lately, I will be worried about finishing on time if I don't just go ahead and get those stories done. So, no "Lacerated Sky" until I'm finished with those stories. :( But, hopefully they'll be good too, even though they're Gen and have no sex in them. *ducks*
The Muses weird me out sometimes. They were planning something and had me set it up without even telling me why. Now I get it. There's a part in "She Just Wanted to Be Heard" where Quinn writes an email to his sister telling her how everyone is doing back home and sneaking in a little guilt tripping for her going off to school in London, away from him and the rest of the family. Later, there's some SPN cross-over action, and Dean writes an email to Sam that is almost identical, telling him how things are going "back home," with some guilt tripping thrown in for going off to college and leaving the family behind. When I wrote it, it was like, "Why am I writing this almost identical to Quinn's email?"
Muses: "Just do it. We don't steer you wrong."
Me: "Oooo-kaaaaay..."
I finally realized what they were doing just a few days ago. The family situations are extremely similar - one kid goes off to college while the other stays behind with the family, and the one left behind misses the other like crazy, while the one who went away certainly misses their sib, but they've also discovered this wonderful new world. So, to draw parallels between the two sibling pairs in a creative way, they had me write almost identical emails. I seriously couldn't see that for the longest time. (Because I'm kinda airheaded sometimes. ~_^) Neat. Why they couldn't just tell me that, I don't know.
Dear Charlotte Church,
I made me a mix CD of your music some time ago, and I've been listening to it for a couple days now. I am convinced you can't possibly be a normal human girl. How the hell do you hit notes that high? It's not "let's see how many dogs will howl at this" high, it's actually in tune. It sounds so beautiful, it brings tears to my eyes. That note you hit at the end of "Summertime" kills me. I mean, literally, I have to be resuscitated. Boosh, on the floor!
Anyway, I've finally figured it out. Siren!
Listening to your music makes me feel like I'm in church for the evil. I mean, after all, it is opera-style.
Your eternal dark servant,
Lerual
