I'll post more pictures soon. Not now, though.
If you see less comments from me, it's because I am having a problem with my computer freezing up when I try to comment. I don't know if LJ is the problem or AOL. Sometimes I switch to the computer in the living room when I get fed up, but sometimes I don't feel like it, so I just screw the comment unless it's something important that I really need to say. The computer in the living room is older and I sometimes just don't feel like dealing with it. (I have to gather up all my stuff and move the fan into the living room, since it's usually too hot most days for my AC to handle the job by itself, and it can be a real pain in the ass to move. So I just don't.)
Of course, right now, I'm converting all my episodes of "Sailor Moon" to DVD, so I'm in the living room alot. You know what? Dub Chad never did much for me, but Japanese Yuuichirou? Take away that ridiculous surfer accent and he's pretty adorable. Sweet, caring, and humble. I totally want bitchy Rei to see the error of her ways after a few more years of him pining for her and then they get together and have a ton of shrine babies. Am I crazy, or did they cut out a lot of scenes where we saw Yuuichirou's eyes in the dub? Because it seems like we are seeing his eyes under all that hair a great deal more in the Japanese version. I'm like hey, there are his eyes again!
Anyone else notice that Sam and Dean dress like casual Yuuichirou? Wait... emo mop of hair in his eyes... layered shirts... Yuuichirou is Sam?
My favorite scene so far, besides Grandpa chasing him and bopping him on the head with a broom, is when the girls are ditching senshi training to go to a ski resort and Yuuichirou says something about going, and Rei goes, "You're going?" and he puts his head down all sheepish, sweeps madly, and responds, "Can't I?" in this totally pitiful voice. So sweet! ^_^ You could tell that Rei thought about the possibility of the two of them at first. I think he became such a fixture of the shrine that she thought of him as more of a friend about halfway through the series, but that could always change.
Anyway, I'm still working on my first story for
spn_xx. It's turning out a lot longer than I thought it would. Surprise, surprise. But I've finally gotten to the meat of the story, which makes me hopeful that it will actually end before I want to stab its eyes out for sucking up so much of my time and energy. Would anyone want to beta it for me? It's at least 7,000 words so far, pre-series SPN/Miracles cross-over. I mean really pre-series. You don't really need to know anything about "Miracles" to beta it.
I have to say, I am really happy that fanfiction.net turned on an option where you can get email notifications every time someone designates your story as one of their Favorite Stories. It really feeds my need for feedback. Stories that I've posted that have gotten very little feedback so far have been chosen as various people's Favorite Stories, and that makes me feel really good. ^_^ I really wish that more people would tell me what they think. I know I can write decently, but I still need to hear it from time to time. :P
