Diagnosis and an SPN theory

Basically, my allergies have changed a lot this year (iow, become worse). My skin has gotten really sensitive to anything that touches it to the point that it becomes irritated and itches at anything it feels like doing this in reaction to. He called it a "topical reaction." The doc rubbed a spot on my back as a test and said that his fingers left "red welts." (Not the really bad, almost permanent kind, but the kind that disappear later.) The reaction indicates that I'd benefit from being on antihistamines on a daily basis, because they help with allergic itching. I understand what he means by a topical reaction; like, my hands and fingers itch really bad because I use them to touch so many things. The tops of my feet and toes itch very badly on the days I wear shoes. My head itches because I have hair (lol). Different parts of my body itch more when they are not shaved; my legs itch more when they are prickly. When I wear my headphones at work, my ears start to itch. On the train the other day, my lower back was against the seat and it started to itch without mercy the whole way home. It's like any little thing touching my skin can set it off.
He also gave me a corticosteroid pack. That's another thing that helps with allergic reactions. They've helped a lot in the past with various allergy attacks I've had. I think my immune system is just hyperreactive to anything. Must protect body! I see you, nasty hair! Begone, or I will itch you off! Airborn allergens, I will trap thee with mucus! Lots and lots and LOTS of mucus! You will not escape! What is that rubbing against my auditory canals?! What are these head... phones? Go away, or I will itch thee off as well!
Stupid body.
A couple new shows I'm really liking: "Aliens in America" and "Cavemen." "Aliens in America" is very sweet and funny. Takes me back to my own past during times when I only had one very good friend, while the rest of the school completely ignored me. "If I was a desert island, you're the only person that I'd want on me. ...That didn't come out right." XD
And I love how "Cavemen" plays with caveman stereotypes. It's extremely funny to see a caveman dressed in a preppy tennis outfit. Just the visual joke gets me giggling. **SMALL SPOILERS AHEAD** The woman dating Joel and how her friends question whether or not she has a "caveman fetish." XD I laughed out loud at tonight's ep where Andy, I think his name was, wanted to overcome a typical caveman stereotype of being scary to women, since they have a reputation of grabbing women by the hair and dragging them off. Another woman in his building, Lucy, kept running from him, so he went out of his way to make friends with her. Once he succeeded, his friends played a nasty joke on him by picking up wood from the fireplace and charging at Lucy, making stereotypical caveman grunts and waving the firewood like clubs. XD God that was great. I've always loved the Geico commercials with the cavemen, especially the one guy who is one of my favorite cynical jerks ever. "I seem to have lost my appetite. *deadly cynical glare*" XD
Anyway, more on "Supernatural." I think I have figured out what they're doing with the new weapon introduced in 3.01! I'm putting my theory under a cut because it contains small spoilers.
This is how John Winchester explained the Colt:

Back in 1835, when Halley's Comet was overhead, the same night those men died at the Alamo, they say Samuel Colt made a gun. A special gun. He made it for a hunter, a man like us, only on horseback. The story goes, he made 13 bullets.
They say... they say this gun can kill anything. Even something supernatural.
Most of that was word for word from what he said in "Dead Man's Blood." Which got me thinking... Ruby's weapon is a Bowie knife. (You can plainly tell from the promo pictures.) What if...
Shortly before, a similar weapon was made. One that could also fell man and devil. In an effort to help those men win the battle of the Alamo, the blacksmith James Black forged a weapon for the hero Jim Bowie. One that bore his name.
They say it was a knife.

I could also expound on Ruby's involvement with the knife, but it would involve some spoilers I've read, so I'll save it for some other time. Whether this is what they do on the show or not, this is SO going in one of my fanfics.
