Dear Yuletide Santa
Oct. 19th, 2007 09:35 pmWhen I got my
yuletide final assignment, I received the same person I did the first time. Yaaaay! I'm very happy with my assignment and it's really just a matter of deciding which plot bunny they would like best. I'm hoping they will put up a Dear Santa letter with even more specific desires of what they'd like to see written. ^_^
Hello, Yuletide Santa! If you're looking for even more clarification on what I like, here you go! This message will have a sticky note put on it for a while so it will always appear at the top of my journal until I'm quite sure that you've had time to read it.
Dear Yuletide Santa,
I thought I'd add some more notes to my optional details. I'm very excited to see which fandom I will be getting, as any of them would be just super. EEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeee.
If you are writing...
Miracles: I gave you a few enjoyable plot bunnies in my optional details that would make me very happy. I'd make excited squealy sounds in reaction to any of them. But, if none of them got your thinky parts working, other plot bunnies would make me happy too. My favorite character is Paul. I thought they woefully underused Evie, and would love to see her shine. Paul and head injuries make me laugh. A badass supernatural plotline would be neat too.
The only thing I ask that you don't do is slash Alva/Paul. I know that will make many "Miracles" fans throw tomatoes at me, but I'm a bit burned out on the couple as of now. Am also squicked by Poppi/Anybody, Paul/Characters who are much too young for him (like Hannah), Alva/Charlie, and Paul/Rebecca.
Vampires: Los Muertos: I'm a HEEEEEYOOOOOOGE Bon Jovi fan from way back. Jon Bon Jovi as a vampire hunter? YES, MORE PLEASE. There is, like, no fanfic of this movie on the net. I'd love to see a vampire hunt with character exploration. The movie seemed to be trying for Derek/Zoey undertones, but I didn't see it, and would prefer you avoiding any romantic entanglements. Jon looks great for his age, but he also looks like he's in his 40's, and Natasha appears about 25 tops although she's much older. The age difference is too apparent to me. (Yes, I know she's really only less than ten years younger than Jon, but that doesn't mean the character is too.) Sancho with an idol crush would be fun too, although anyone requiting it would be Chicken Hawk City, so keep that in mind. Also would not be opposed to Derek/Father Rodrigo slash.
Land of the Lost (1974): Any sort of badass science fiction plotline involving the Marshalls interacting with The Zarn and/or The Builder would be awesome.
Please, though, no incest. Incest in this fandom would squick me something bad. It would just be so, so wrong. I don't care about the likelihood of it, I just don't want to read it, thanks.
This is actually the show that I list as my favorite show of all time. I loved it as a child, but rediscovering it as an adult has been phenomenal. As such, I don't like stories that treat it as "that Sid and Marty Krofft googly-eyed 70's crap." LOTL doesn't get the respect it deserves as a terrific science fiction show, which it was. I don't mind the occasional "tokin' up on dinosaur nip" kind of joke, but writing the entire story as a derisive parody would pretty much guarantee that I wouldn't appreciate your story. Kthanx. :D
Ride with the Devil: My optional details here were pretty self-explanatory. I don't think Pitt would take too kindly to that damn runt Dutchy making a play for his favorite after-hours bedroll buddy, do you? Muahahahaha.
That's about it. Any other questions, contact me through the Yuletide mods. ^_^
