The only person who's going to know what the hell I'm talking about here is
tvsgrady.
Last week on "Phenomenon," one of the mentalist dudes was going to bend a stop sign with the power of his mind. He asked the audience to help him by concentrating on the sign and yelling out one word: "MOVE!" HEEEEY, IT'S THE MOVE GUY!!!
I STILL quote that thing! Whenever I want something or someone to move, I yell in my own head, "MOOOVE!!" with a whole imaginary audience behind it. XD I use it in other situations too. It's just always stuck with me. I was quite amused to see that the guy is still performing.
Explanation for the curious: For years, the members of an aol message board for MST3K have been meeting in a chat room to give things the MST treatment. Movies, tv shows, presidential addresses, nothing is safe. I suspect that most of us would riff our grandmother's funerals if we could. Years ago, we riffed a special on the paranormal that featured a bunch of people doing magic tricks and calling it psychic phenomena. The Move Guy was on there. Something about that act stuck with us, and MOVE!! became a running private joke.
"Phenomenon" is done, btw. I wasn't happy with the outcome.
