For some reason I've had awful bus/train karma this week. They were working on the rail line over Thanksgiving so the train schedule was screwed up. The train got me to my station, I kid you not, ONE minute after my bus left. Since the buses only run once per hour on the weekends, I had to wait a whole hour out in the cold for the next bus. They lock up the station on weekends, for some stupid reason, which is why I couldn't sit inside a nice, warm station. It was in the 30's and I was pretty damn cold. Now I'm sick. I've already started taking cold medicine. Feeling really fatigued, light-headed, and nauseated. I seriously thought I was going to lose my lunch this afternoon (literally, since it was my lunch that made me feel like throwing up), but I just sat motionless with my eyes closed for a minute and I recovered. I'm lying down now while typing this entry because I'm feeling like hurling again. Thank you DART! :P
I'm going to work on some entries I want to put up whenever I get time, including my holiday wish list. It worked great last year! People actually gave me stuff! That's because you guys are VON AWESOME!
Stuff I got includes the wonderful scarf babushka (hee) thatmeredevachon made me. It is still the warmest thing I own, and actually helped keep my head as warm as possible yesterday while I was trapped outside waiting for the bus. But the cold got in through my thin pants, which were exposed to the wind waaaay too long. Did I say Thank You DART? :P
I've been getting a copy of a local paper called Quick that they hand out for free every morning on my way to work. It's very convenient for checking the job listings. Nothing really promising yet, but I'll just keep looking. ^_^ Hopefully I won't throw up on it.
