SPN Friday five and stuff
Nov. 30th, 2007 10:30 pmA car accident happened right in front of me this afternoon. That's the second time in my life that I have witnessed an accident that I was not involved in. I was looking down the street, looking for the bus, and heard EEERRRRT, SMASH! to my right. I looked and saw a mini-van T-boning another mini-van so hard that it shoved it into the next lane and almost knocked it over. The mini-van that got hit was teetering; they're lucky they didn't turn over. People ran over to make sure everyone was okay. The bus came a minute later and I really needed to get to the bank, so I got on the bus (yeah I know, I probably should have stayed, but I didn't really see the accident, just the aftermath). We passed the ambulance, police car, and fire engine speeding to the accident. When we went by, I looked back and that mini-van that got hit was totaled. The entire side was caved in, total el cruncho. They're lucky there was no one in the passenger seats because there seriously wasn't any room left for them. I have no idea who ran the red light there; like I said, I was looking for the bus, so I missed it. I'm really glad I was across the street and not waiting on the opposite street corner that I usually cross at, because that street corner was sprayed with glass. I'm sure that would have scared the living shit out of me, two cars smashing into each other less than five feet from me. XD
I think everyone was basically alright. There were airbags everywhere.
spn_fridayfive ON FRIDAY WOOOOOOO go Laurel!!!!
1. When asked about angels (or 'good' supernatural entities), Kripke said he and his writers believe God works "through a very human, sweaty, outgunned and overwhelmed group of hunters. For us, these are the angels ... the forces of good work through humans who are flawed and imperfect and trying to make the right decisions." What do you think about that? Is it just an excuse for not having enough money in the budget to add CGI angels into the show? It is deep and insightful? Or do you think something else completely?
I think it's a copout. If you're going to do a very general supernatural show that could have practically any type of paranormal creature on it, you need to represent both sides. Not just demons.
2. Although the Yellow-Eyed Demon is dead, how much do you think his past actions will affect events that take place in season 3?
I have no idea how much the writers intend to explore Azazel in season 3, but I think they should explore the subject at least a little bit more; there are still unanswered questions hanging out there.
3. Why do you think Sam has not revealed what he found out about Mary's past (she knew the Yellow-Eyed Demon) to Dean?
Because he's a big dummy who thinks it's better to keep secrets, even when it's pointless to do so. I guess he thinks Dean won't be able to take it or something. I can't really come up with any better reason. Dean would just say, "Demons lie," anyway, so Sam could still do his research in secret even if Dean knew what Azazel had shown him. You know, if that's just something Sam needs to do.
4. Inspired by the upcoming winter holiday season: What type of holiday or yearly event, if any, would you like to see featured as a sidestory (to the main plot) in a future episode of Supernatural?
Christmas episodes would be neat as a yearly thing. Why don't they ever feature Dean's freakin' birthday in an episode? That must be entertaining!
5. Last we saw Agent Henricksen, he was very determined to capture Sam and Dean. Are you interested to see the character/story arc return, or would you prefer all episodes to focus on demons, Dean's Deadly Deal, Sam's Boy King status, etc.?
Nope. Never liked Henricksen. Don't care if he comes back. He's just an asshole.
Oh, and I've decided that whenever I get time, I'm going to make changes to all of the dialogue spoken by the character Svetlana from she just wanted to be heard. She's supposed to be an exchange student; she should be speaking broken English, not perfect English. She's only been in America for a year or so. I'm not sure what made me think of that, but it's bothering me enough now that I want to edit her dialogue when I can make some time to do it.
