THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS TURNED ON YESTERDAY, BUT I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT UNTIL TODAY! BUT STILL, AIR CONDITIONING! IT'S COOL IN HERE AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO STAY IN FRONT OF A FAN ALL THE TIME! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! *hops all over the room* I'm so HAPPY!!! And relieved! And cool!

The city's inspection opened the owner's eyes. He's not going to fuck with the city of Jensen Ackles' birthplace again. Muhahahaha. The whole thing was really stressing me out, that we may have some sort of big fight on our hands and that I might have to pack up and break my lease before this was over (A whole summer in north Texas with no a/c? Impossible.), but everything should be okay now. My muses have returned and have agreed to work on some stories I haven't worked on in a while. Lots of ideas flowing today. I'm in a pretty good mood. ^_^

I remembered a couple of things from "Ghostfacers" that I actually found funny. First, when Dean told Ed and the others that they should get the salt out of his duffel bag, make a circle, and get inside it, and Ed went, "..... the duffel bag?" and Dean yells back, "The circle!" :D Heh. I also laughed when the ghost janitor goes up to Sam and you think he's going to do something horrible to him, but when he steps back, you see that he's only put a party hat on him. XD If they'd left out all the cringeworthy "jokes" involving Corbett's death, I think I would have liked this episode a whole lot more.

Bad thing: Thank you "Ghostfacers" so BLOODY much for getting "It's My Party" stuck in my head for DAYS after this episode. My brain always latches on to songs I don't particularly like and plays them over and over and OVER...

Now to "Long Distance Call." It was okay. I would have liked it a lot more if it really had been John calling Dean. It would have made for a really angsty (angstier) episode. The way things were, the ep was just mediocre for me.

I liked the Chris Hansen "Dateline Predator" joke. Heh.
When dead people call, it should be far more staticy and faint and spooky than that. I know it wasn't really dead people calling, but there's this episode of "The Twilight Zone" where an old lady keeps getting calls from a dead man and it sounds so freakin' spooky that it really gave me chills, and I wanted it to be more like that. I know that SPN is more about gore and guns and punching than actual chills, but I'd still love it if the show was actually scary more often.
The whole part with the little boy getting a call from his dead mother on the toy phone and then walking out in front of the truck was just about directly stolen from a "Twilight Zone" ep called ... "Long Distance Call." Except that the TZ kid was getting calls from his dead grannie. I knew they were going to harken back to an ep of TTZ due to reading spoilers, but I had no idea they'd be doing the scene almost exactly the same.

Yes, I do realize that I just said, "Be more like The Twilight Zone!" and then, "Don't copy The Twilight Zone!" Shrug. They're just different.

It was an okay episode. I think I would have liked to see more episodes where they try different things to get Dean out of his deal and keep failing, but the writer's strike probably killed any chance of that.

I saw the American version of One Missed Call. I haven't seen a movie suck this bad in a long time. The premise isn't the best in the first place, total slasher movie kind of stuff, but the Japanese movie did it SO much better. It made the premise work as well as it could and everyone put in a good performance, really selling this idea that was, at heart, a little silly. The American remake? Didn't even try. The story was jumbled and confusing (and I knew what was going on already!), any scariness was stripped out of every good scene from the Japanese movie, and many of the actors sleptwalked through their roles. I feel kinda bad for the Sossaman chick; she really is a decent actress, but she just keeps getting stuck in these dumb movies. One of the worst movies I've ever seen. I could have written a scarier remake than that. :P

The only good thing is that one of the little girls was named LAUREL. Yaaaaaay!

01 Dean has 2 months left to live (as we found out in 'Ghostfacers'), but so far neither Sam nor Dean have tried to find a way out of his contract. Why do you think that is?

I thought they had... Sam at the beginning of the season, doing research.

02 How would you like to see Dean get out of his contract? Divine intervention? The Doctor (:D?)? Or another way? Make up something crazy if you want!

I think there are things they could try. Like, why not find a demon/supernatural creature that does not respect the contracts of other demons and pledge Dean's soul to this demon. Then let them fight it out to see who wins. Maybe they'll kill each other. Not foolproof, but it's better than hearing yet another character say, "There's no way out of Dean's contract." Yes, I know already.

03 Kripke has said in several recent interviews that he has the ending of the series planned out. Some of the fans have expressed their desire to see the show end with Sam and Dean driving off into the sunset with the Impala. Do you think Kripke's ending is different? How so?

I really don't know. It will either end that way, one of them will die, or both of them will die.

04 The CW isn't extending next season beyond the regular 22 episodes to make up for the 6 we lost this season due to the writer's strike. Do you agree with that or would you have liked to see 28 episodes next season?

I didn't really expect them to extend the fourth season anyway. It's just not realistic.

05 If you were a hunter like Sam and Dean -- hunting the supernatural and constantly putting your life in danger -- would you have quit by now or would you still be going?
If you think you would have quit by now, what would have made you do so?
If you think you would still be going, what would keep you hunting?

I wouldn't become one of the hunters who goes "into the field." I would provide these hunters with research and ideas. I've never even been in a fistfight; I'm going to go out and kill things? The things that would keep me hunting would be my love for research/learning about new things and the comraderie with the hunters.
