I'm just going to call it "The Eye 3" to simplify things.

SPOILERS for the movie ahead!

[livejournal.com profile] just_kaye talked about this movie so I Netflixed it. The basics are that it's about five friends on vacation in Thailand and they're looking for something to do, so one pulls out a book called The Ten Encounters which is about 10 Thai ways to see ghosts. I think I would have preferred that they stick to making it scary instead of putting in so many ridiculously funny moments, but I did like what they did do with it. There were definitely some really cool freaky ghost moments.

Like, they totally surprised me with the female ghost who kept showing up. I didn't notice at all that the woman who had been hit by the car was wearing the same clothes as the woman who got on the bus. That was really cool. Also liked that when May looked between her legs to see the ghost, the ghost was doing the same thing! Very clever. I laughed at Ted tapping on his teeth with the chopsticks while totally freaking out, and the floating ghost drooling all over Chongkwai. Funny and scary, two for one. The whole scene was really fun, what with everyone screaming and tapping like mad but still staying to see the ghosts. That's pretty much how it would go if I tried that. :D The possession scene had me laughing out loud all through it. It's ridiculous, but still funny. Ted is possessed by a spirit and it seems like he's trying to fight it off, which makes him move all weird all over the hallway. Two guys come in and think that he's break dancing, so they start a dance war. XD A bunch of people hear the music and come out of their apartments, then start clapping as they watch the break dancing battle. It was pretty silly. :D Break dancing's back in a biiiig way.

The ending was depressing. I think it needed another couple minutes to end it right, iow, no pointless deaths. Most of the ten methods to see ghosts were pretty cool, though. Hollywood just needs to keep remaking Asian horror movies because they're so good, I could watch them twice. Once with attractive Asian people, and again with the attractive people of Hollywood.

And now, what we all came here to see, hardcore nudity! I mean, pictures of ghosts! Click on any picture to see a big version.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH dead alien?

Hey Kaye, gimme a kiss!

Me so hungry.

This is actually a pretty scary image to look up and see floating over you. I'd definitely scream and beat cheeks out of there.

Chinese Sissy Spacek.

Okay, these are the dudes who I found the most cute in this movie. Kaye, do you agree with me?

Chongkwai

And...

OH TED! Hm, wait, I have a better picture than that. ;)

What a cutie pie. Mmmmmwa!

Of course, Kofei wasn't bad looking either.

He looks like someone, but I can't quite place who. Chinese Guy who Played Noah in "The Ring"?

I'm not sure I've seen such a good-looking male cast in a while. Just one cutie after another. Reow.

I'll go back and add Chongkwai's picture later.
