sailorhathorMoosie! I have seen The Host! You were right, it was very good. There's just ooooone little thing I didn't like.
The ending. **SPOILERS** After all that family went through to save that child, the grandfather dies, all three siblings get hurt, they're all exposed to Agent Yellow which doesn't seem good in the long run, and... HYUN-SEO DIES?!?!!? Are you KIDDING me?! The movie was totally worth watching, but I was really unhappy with that. I guess we were supposed to be satisfied with the fact that she sort of saved that other kid's life, but it did nothing for me after all those poor people went through to save her. **END SPOILERS**
For the confused, The Host is a Korean... I guess you could call it a horror movie... maybe action/horror fusion... anyway, Korean horror movie in the Rampaging Monster genre where a... wait for it... Rampaging Monster comes out of the river to rampage through a small portion of Seoul. (It's not big enough to rampage through the entire city.) The special effects are really cool and most of it is pretty exciting. (There's a slow subplot concerning a virus the monster is supposed to be carrying that goes nowhere.) I really want to watch it again.
There's a community somewhere that is a fanfic challenge where you take characters from "Supernatural" and basically rewrite your favorite movie using the SPN characters. Does anyone know what it's called? I didn't save the link. I really want to remix The Host whenever they allow claims again. It's a natural plot for SPN; SPN needs at least one episode about a Rampaging Monster. The only thing I'm missing is an archer...
