yuletide and I noticed two things that made my brain freeze for a moment in absolute shock and disbelief.
First, someone has nominated the Keebler Elves commercials. THE FUCKING KEEBLER ELVES. WHAT could you possibly want out of fanfic about the Keebler flippin' Elves?! "They make fudge cookies. Ernie breaks out the bondage gear and the Care Bears come over." WHAT?! I am totally normal compared to that.
Second, someone nominated "Read All About It." Oh. MY. GOD. I thought I was the only person in the entirety of the world who remembered that show. We used to watch this in fifth grade, way back in 1984. In 1998, a local PBS station started showing episodes and I stumbled on them around 2 in the morning. I wish I could have gotten them all on tape, but I only got some of them. It's extremely fun to watch them and wax nostalgic, what with the dot matrix printer, the Scott Baoi look-alike, the retro special effects, etc. I promptly changed my noms, added "Read All About It," and added a character that wasn't on the list. 'Cause I thought the Book Destroyer was cool. (Especially with the flared highwater pants and go-go boots. XD) I want to know who nominated that, damn it.
I read my fiend's list, but I didn't feel like replying to much of anything because I'm so tired. Many of you guys seem to ignore my journal anyway. *shrug*
Oh, for some reason, I keep forgetting to mention that I'm on vacation. ^_^ I'd like to be happier about it but I have to go run an errand tomorrow that I don't want to, and it can't really be put off. So I can't just enjoy myself. :P Oh well, still, vacation! I can finally do two million things!
