sailorhathor"I've been laid off" syndrome is hitting me. I'm a bit depressed, and feeling lonely. No matter how much I hate my job, when you're in my position, it is better to have a job than not to have a job. So, I'm going to be like Eeyore until I work through this. Basically, I know I'll be okay, but there's that little voice in the back of my head that understands nothing but TIME TO PANIC!! If I don't stay until the very end, I won't get my Cobra health insurance or my severence pay, so I just have to wait it out. The best I can do for me is just to try to distract myself from these feelings. So, tv discussion!
Some people have been coming up with some pretty whacked out (aka stupid) theories about what's going on on "Supernatural," but this one takes the cake: That the reason why Dean was rescued from hell and is God's chosen warrior is because he's the second coming of Christ. People, are you serious? Do you really think this show is going to do something so blasphemous? Do you have ANY idea what shit the show would endure if they did something like that? Do you even think that Jensen, who was raised a Christian, would agree to play that part? I think Dean is just dreamy, but even *I* would think that was a horribly offensive plot twist. That's about as likely as Dean and Castiel doing the horizontal mombo on screen. I was not raised a Christian, and I don't pretend to know everything about it, but even I know how mind-boggingly ridiculous that idea is. I wish I could stop stumbling on it on the communities. The problem is, every time it dies down, some new git comes along and raises the possibility again. 9_9 People, listen to me: Dean is not going to turn out to be the second coming of Christ. I say that with 100% certainty.

yuletide assignments go out any hour now!
I'll do my Dear Yuletude Santa letter after this and make it sticky so it'll stay at the top of my journal. If you're my Yuletide Santa, look for it there. I felt very generous while making my offers of fandoms to write. It's unlikely I'll get several of them because I'm the only person who made a request in certain fandoms, but a few of the others are possible! Now, statistically, I'll probably get a "Miracles" request to write. That's fine, but of course, it's also possible I'll get one of the others. The only one I'm a little worried about is that I offered to write "Read All About It." There's one character on the character list that I don't remember at all, and the episodes haven't been released on DVD so I have no point of reference for him. If the person who gets me as their Yuletide Santa makes a request featuring this character, I'll be up shit creek. I just chose that I could write for Any character because there were soooo many on the list, and I remember/have a point of reference for every character but one. So, we'll see how that goes.
I nominated the RPF - Def Leppard fandom, and was pleasantly surprised to see someone else not only offer it, but request it!! I offered that I could write for Any person in that, which worries me a little since I wouldn't really enjoy writing some of the possible pairings there as much as others. But we'll see what happens.
I'm very excited to see that people offered and requested my fandoms. It makes me hopeful that I'll get a good story again this year. ^_^
I wasn't able to request every fandom I wanted to because you can only make 4 requests, but I'll put those extra requests in my Yuletide Santa letter just in case.
