I am FLOORED by my Yuletide story. I wanted a different fandom than usual, and I got it. John Carpentar's Vampires: Los Muertos. I didn't think I'd ever get that fandom in a million years. I wanted canon refs, and they went over the movie with a magnifying glass. Seriously, if you have not seen this movie, you'll be so lost that it will force you to go rent it just so you can get why Sancho's mom and her need for cash is brought up. (That's a very, very good thing. I LOVE stories that ref canon to the point that everyone else is lost as fuck. I often write like that, because I like it in the stories I read.) "My momma needs the money real bad." Not that you wouldn't love it for the hot slash (if you like slash to begin with), and I'm not trying to say you shouldn't read it if you haven't seen the movie, because it's an excellent, very detailed story, but I'm just saying yeeee, it's almost like this story was written just for me. Well, it was, but you get my drift.
The best part though is that it has Derek/Rodrigo slash, and anything that pairs up two very hot guys like that can't be bad in my eyes. Jon Bon Jovi/Cristian de la Fuente, FWOAR!!
OH, I forgot to say in my comment (so I hope the writer is trolling my LJ), I love that Rodrigo still won't tell Derek where the cross is. BWAHAHAHAHA! Very in character, considering.
I guess it would help if I linked to it already:
Los Vivos (Más o Menos)

I just used an online translator on the title. The Living (More or Less). Buahahaha! Great title. ^_^
If the writer isn't a huge fan of this movie, I'll be very surprised, because they wrote the story like they were.
Happy goldurned Holidays everyone!
